Just the luck of the draw.

What amazes me is that none of the former pros that do the draw have said anything about it being rigged.

You'd think that when, say, Martin Keown, did his first draw and discovered that the competition he's watched on telly and dreamed of lifting the trophy since he was a boy is actually fixed, he'd make a bit more of it.

The cup draw has just been done. Yep, they drew an away game again.

FA Cup last season
Rnd 3 - villa away
Rnd 4 - Norwich away
Rnd 5 - Chelsea away

FA Cup this season
Rnd 3 - west ham away
Rnd 4 - crystal palace away

League cup this season
Rnd 3 - Swansea away
Rnd 4 - rags away

Put that against the Rags home home home home. It's not corrupt honest

Hi chaps. Looking for some advice. Is there an away pub at selhurst? And if my boy wanted to see players come off coach is there a specific time/place that he can go?

Thanks in advance.

Southampton have played a Premier League team in every round of the League Cup his season. Is that accidental or was that done purposely?

Palace will play the reserves surely? They play Bournemouth on Tuesday and Fat Sam has form in that sort of thing.

That would be my take on it as well. Should get through the tie one way or another

With everton away in the League Cup semi, I make that 8 successive away draws. I wonder what the probability of that is.

Seems logical, given that City are 'in the sticks'. ;)

I really don't think this is worth a separate thread, you will get the idea

Referee Michael Jones
Assistant Referees Mick McDonough & Andrew Halliday
Fourth Official Andy Davies

Team Selection

Speroni

Ward Delaney Tomkins fryers

Flamani Ledley

Punch Lee Kai Kai

Campbell

And the rest...

Remy and Schlupp need game time and players like Flamini and Cabaye surely would want to play against a top side like City?

pick 11 from the crowd

Not attaching any importance to this game.Just anxious to avoid any injuries with such a hugely important game coming up at Bournemouth away a few days later, which has got to be the priority.

Hope we are eliminated so as to fully concentrate on our Premiership survival, although a useful training session to implement Sam's new ideas.

Think we will lose 2-0.

I can't see beyond a loss with us failing to score.

Bournemouth is huge so I expect the reserves to get ripped to shreds. 5-0 to City, and I won't really care.

It depends on which team we put out. A full squad and I think we could win, the squad for the first half against Bolton and we will lose quite badly.

We won't win against man city but I don't think it will be a thrashing either. 2-0 city

Us winning 2-1, everyone wishing it was a league game and the win providing a 'springboard' for a revival of our fortunes !

as has been said, a useful chance for more Palace players to see action (and to be seen by Sam). Should they be sufficiently hungry a win will be welcome.
Our support would forgive the playing of a "second team" and others would start to worry. COYP

I hope that Sam doesn't make the same mistake as he did away to Arsenal - he played a full team and then suffered when we lost to Swansea 2 days later. The games against Bournemouth and Sunderland are vital so I hope he plays as many reserves as possible on Saturday to save those with niggles and poor recovery records. Regretfully at the moment the Cup is an unwanted distraction.

Heaviest defeat in years 7-0 to city...Can someone give me a convincing argument why I should go to this game and how we've got a chance of winning.

Draw?...Unwanted replay - Where we'll get well and truly stuffed.

Bought a ticket yesterday and there were still an awful lot of empty seats. Can't see it being a big crowd...

He isn't. It's 128-1. Lol.

OK, so I Googled it.

Bent as a nine bob note though. But there is no agenda, it's our paranoia. Aye. Whatever.

No, because the starting point 'X' is the determinant. so it's 27, which is 128.

However, those are the odds for 'What are the chances of our next/last 8 cup draws being away?'. The odds for a team, at some point in time, having 8 successive away draws are pretty much 1. I think (although I could be wrong in this) that a few seasons ago we had around 10 home draws in cup competitions on the bounce.

Like i said elsewhere, put the balls in a case like they do for the lotto and let a machine spit the balls out. Og and do that for Chumps league too , back to the old and better times/ways.
