If Kane is drop dead average, I’d love to know who the above average strikers are out there?

Especially considering Kane has been one of the most prolific strikers in the world for several years now…

Exactly.

We can debate if we think he’s a good fit for City or if he’s worth such a huge fee at his age.

But he most certainly isn’t average. His record year-on-year proves that.

yesterday it was easy to find out that young Haaland for example scored two and provided three assists.
Why waste all that money on a 28 year old, who gets injured every season, when you can get a young Haarland and spread the capital cost over more years ?

I'd rather Haaland than Kane as well but that doesn't mean Kane isn't top draw.

They were discussing the Lukaku signing on Talksport on Friday and put him in the Europa League of strikers with the Champions League strikers being Mbappe, Lewandowski, Kane and Haaland.

Kane wants to come, he'd guarantee goals and for all his dodgy ankle every year he actually misses very few games..

I’m in this camp too. I’d rather have Haaland, but he’s clearly not available this summer and I have a feeling he’s already signed with a club for next summer. Kane should get a lot of goals with us, and the signing will put the shitters up our rivals.

At the moment, Haaland has only three destinations available:
Rags, German Rags and us.

I see him going to the german rags because of that "buy" clause I heard Bayern has over Dortmund for bailing them out back in the early 00s, even if the rags will pay more.

PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Real are out, they can't get him.
And us? Well, at first I was convinced it was the FFP that stopped us from signing him, but with the money we've spent on Grealish and most probably on Kane, Haaland would have been here. So it must be Raiola.
Will Khaldoon step over Spafia and get him?
Most likely no.

I disagree, Chelsea were prepared to pay £150m and still couldn't get it over the line. Like others pointed out, he's probably going to either Real or Munchens

Real can't get him and Mbappe and I think the diving french is their priority.

We got him for £43.5 million. Won three titles, four league cups, 1 cup, played and scored. So his value increased and he is reaching the top form age for a footballer.

15 mil loan and 40 mil in two years is not the right sum of money for him. Fuck it, we are not that desperate.

You are right mate but everyone in Europe is skint.

In the finance terms we now move in 55m over 2 years is is almost the same as having it now - everything amortised over 5, usually isn't it?

It'll all add up in the end :-)

Read that the deal had add-one that would raise the fee to 70 mil euros. And I think it did because I reckon those were performance fees.
We need to learn to sell at least decent. 15 mil up front and 40 mil in two years is not a good deal imho.

If he goes then surely Mendy's part of the deal.
Always come as a package those 2.

I simply don't trust the Italians.
I never understand the logic behind a loan with an obligation to buy or these types of deals. Either buy the player or fuck off for me.

And if its 50M over 5 years and we get 10M a year then so be it. At least it's a ratified transfer. And if the purchasing club want to pay in instalments then put a few add on clauses in place as "interest"

We seem to be able to shift Academy players fairly quickly and easily. Not so much with first teamers

What are we giving Bernardo, one of the best players in the league, away for.
I mean stump up or fuck off. How many top players did we get to loan on the cheap, fucking none.
Ridiculous.

Why would any player leave City for AC Milan unless they just we’re not good enough to be here. We will never get a good price from these jokers.

If Bern goes to AC Milan my respect for him will drop massively. They’re dog shit. But I feel like no top clubs being in for him says a lot.

Might be talking bollox here, but I remember Milan were happy we didn't get the ban from UEFA and "football would lose the best team on the planet for two years". The chairman or the manager, can't recall, but heard them and was surprised in a good way.
Can understand Milan after they had their share of rags and criminals in the past 20 years.
