No official figures have been released for the U.S., Latin America, or Asia, despite the tournament being broadcast across major platforms like TNT Sports, TelevisaUnivision, and streamed for free on DAZN in some regions.
If anyone has concrete viewership numbers from other countries or networks, especially from markets like Brazil, Mexico, or Japan (where interest in this competition tends to be strong), it’d be great to see them.
It’s surprising how little transparency there is on global audience stats, considering FIFA’s push to elevate the Club World Cup’s profile - maybe the figures are too poor and embarrassing ?
For global viewership figures, you'll have to wait until all countries have collated their numbers. This is done daily, weekly or even less often, depending on the place. I have no idea how the DAZN figures will be combined with these. And of course, it'll be very hard for any kind of communications regulator to independently verify those DAZN figures (although I'm guessing advertisers will want some kind of assurance that adverts are reaching a sufficient viewership to justify paying for them).
For the US, I've got the following:
Inter Miami v. Al Ahly: 371k viewers on TBS (English), plus 230k on the TelevisaUnivision (Spanish) broadcast.
