Strong rumours about the young right back from Newcastle Livramento? It would be a tough deal to get done persuasion wise and we would pay through the nose but Newcastle will be looking to improve their balance sheet. Liked the look of this player for a couple of years, i'd be happy for him to join
Jack going the other way ?

Have i missed owt
I haven't seen any official announcement fro. the club that we've actually signed anyone yet?
Only Fabrizio Romano (days ago) then every other unofficial social media platform taking his word as gospel?

I am possibly wrong, but Akanji doesn't strike me as someone high on the list of people we need to lose. Probably his wages aren't as great as others and I don't get he impression he causes any trouble when he's not playing. He's from Switzerland so probab still wondering how the heck he got to where he is. If I dare go so far as to say he appears to be the ultimate professional.

He's not our level, which is probably more important than him being a nice guy

No but there are several others who aren't either, who are likely paid a lot more and aren't as happy to sit on the bench and wait their turn. I was talking about priorities for getting rid, and Akanji isn't one of the top priorities.

He's been the best available on many an occasion, due to the others being sick notes. Sadly...

We just can't get rid of every player who is not our level. We wouldn't have a squad. Akanji like you suggest has done an adequate job when called upon.

BM wasn't suggesting that. He literally added "sadly" at the end of his post.
Akanji is a decent squad player to have. But we have just spent a fuck load in January on three young CBs that should be eased in next season as squad players.
Ake
Stones
Dias
Khus
Reis
Bah
Akanj
Josko
8 CBs for two positions. Some will need to go and it won't be the three we've just signed or Dias and Josko

Akanji is the least of our worries. I’m not saying he’s the best either. In the right system and a midfield that controls games he’s a decent member of a squad. If we can get better so be it.

No idea how Akanji plays regularly and slips from under the radar for being shit. Oh well, he's a nice guy we can't call him crap. He's utter garbage at passing, defending and going forward. We dont need nice guys, I'd rather have a cunt that takes us to the next level.

Not a lot to disagree with here. He cost us next to nothing £ and he's had a good run. Should he keep an up and coming youngster from our squad I'd argue not, but we've just signed two so that doesn't bode well for any cb in our eds squad. I'd imagine he'd stay over Stones who we may be able to get back to everton with a bit of negotiation? That still leaves Ake. Dias and Josko you'd imagine would be here for the foreseeable proving Dias bucks his fucking ideas up

Wirtz reminds me of Jack . I hope the scouse are forced to pay the 130 odd mill pounds Leverkusen want.
Are Everton thinking about getting Jack in ?

Must be a record sale for Sunderland?

It is. And there’s a 15% sell on fee as well if he turns out to be like his older cunt
