Simister wrote:What exactly is John Aldridge's problem with City?

I read (on here I think) that he was once drafted in as a late replacement at a fans forum, and was completely ignored, and since then has had a chip on his shoulder.

But how can any "newspaper" allow him to write such bigoted crap and lies and hope to be taken seriously?

Aldridge in the Irish Independent

So the Grief could have won three more titles if we weren't so rich....

You're just a shit Ian Rush wannabe mate.

Aldridge is the very worst dipper ‘pundit’ out there. I’d sooner listen to Mickey Owen commentate on City games for the next 2years than listen to one game with Aldridge.

I despise him with every fibre of my being

Does anybody actually believe that the likes of stupid footballers write this shite?
I would think that a news outlet pays them a fee to tag their names onto a a number of columns to gain an audience from the sheeple they want to attract.
Thre ex player merely grabs the cash and complies....and the sheeple believe it.
We live in a nonsense celeb culture. and the sheeple lap it up

Aldridge literally doesn’t know what country he’s from bless him. Give him a break guys, he’s quite clearly simple. No fun in taking the piss out of the simple ones.

Excellent article. Not overtly pro-City but clear and incisive analysis, setting out the facts that most so-called ‘journalists’ choose to ignore.

VVD has lost half a yard of pace and with the type of injury he had and his age it is doubtful if he will ever get back to where he was.
This is going to become a major problem for him and Liverpool. Liverpool's high line relies on VVD's pace to cover the space in behind. Without that pace they are going to have to play deeper or risk being caught out.
They have started to give up more chances and goals lately. I think it is down to loss of pace by VVD.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Although they have only conceded 19, that may disguise the actuality, they have conceded 3 at Brentford 2 at home to Brighton, in the last game Palace continually got behind them and should have scored more, would have done if pigmol hadn’t come to their rescue, so I agree VVD has lost something and it will cost them in the bigger games

Two of City’s Premier League matches in March have been moved to accommodate live television coverage in the UK.
Our home game against Manchester United will now take place on Sunday 6 March, with kick off at 16:30 (UK).

And our trip to Crystal Palace has been altered to Monday 14 March at 20:00 (UK).

Both games will be shown live on Sky Sports.

I don't understand all the bull about Dick VD. He's a row Z specialist nothing more and now he's old and his knee is crocked.

Agree Zuri, I think we debated here a while back on the subject.
I find him the most inflated center back of all time. He is decent, I would call it even very good, but they made him larger than man with all the bollox around him, made him despicable.
I keep on looking at him on the pitch, his gestures, the way he walks, how he moans non-stop, he is the definition of arrogance.
Even with Tranny I've seen small moments of normality, with this fella, nothing.

I really think he believes his own hype.
