Really not sold on Anderson, he is a tidy player but is nothing special. Maybe he is one who will elevate his game when playing with better players, however, I really don't see what all the fuss is about.

He is a £50 M squad player for me

If we had a season of him and a season of Nico G I honestly wouldn’t imagine we’d see much difference

For the eye-watering figures being reported, that's my view as well. I like the limited amount that I've seen of him but he's nowhere near superb. Be good to see him in the WC though that may only hile his price up.

I think he will develop into an excellent player. But I do agree the fees are extortionate.

I might be pissing in the wind here but I rate the lad highly, great engine and can be physical and pick a pass too. When you look how much Alvarez is supposed to be going to Madrid for then the going rate for other players rises with it.

Too much money sloshing around for what are not world class players, saying that what's a world class player now?

I've never understood the " too much money" scenario. It's not our money, my season ticket has been frozen for the 3rd year running so it's not like we're paying more to cover it. We've made a lot of money on outgoings the last few years, loads from the academy, about to get 60 mil for Savinho - is Anderson worth that money, probably not. Is he a very good player and what we need- definitely. Will it piss off the 115 merchants- undoubtedly. Let's get him.

To comply with PSR clubs inevitably have a limit to how much they can spend on wages and transfer fees. The amount spent on one player has an impact on what is available to spend elsewhere. Why have one Florian Wirtz when you can have three Rayan Cherkis?

Yep, completely get that but we've been fine with PSR. We only have 1 player ( Grealish) in the top 10 British transfers. Like you say we bought Cherki for a song, and there's been load more bargains despite the media narrative. With big wage hitters going off the books this summer they need replacing.

It's not the money we spend it's the money that's spent by all top and middling clubs, players cost obscene ridiculous amounts and the more the money goes up the more distant the players seem to be away from the fans of the clubs they play for, what's really embarrassing is that you can get a player at a club earning say £250,000 a week and doing well but an agent or himself will want to move for even more money.

IMHO it's killing the soul of the game.

Yep totally agree. I wish he hadn't gone there. Fucking horrible club, anywhere abroad but there.

I have huge respect for Bernardo, but this is not nice to see.
He will be back next season when we inevitably play them in the champions league.

Unless it is ridiculously good money that would be a huge error
