You're right.

Interestingly enough on the OS it has Robinho on the right and SWP on the left?

i think hughes perfect 11 for this season off today esp at home when everyone fit and we get lescott is

------------given------------
richards---toure--lescott----bridge
swp-----ireland---barry-----robinho
----------tevez--adebayor--------

how good does that look.. im surprised.. thought he would be a bit more defensive play 4-3-3/4-5-1 with de jong instead of swp

You've just blown any credibility you might have
Richards???
and SWP?

i didnt say that is what i would play
the first one is the team hughes has put out today and going off it im guessing the second one is what hughes is aiming for. i think if it was up to me i would start zabaleta instead of richards in the second one but hughes has picked richards as first choice throughout pre season and today so im guessing thats who he is going with

i like 4-4-3 crossie. i'd reckon we'd get 7 with that!

seriously though, roberts and mccarthy. always give us problems, especially roberts. the bastard.

Have wondered on this myself. Robinho on the left doesn't give as much width as Petrov as he often cuts in for the shot rather than going deep for the cross. On the right he could beat the player and go right to the touch line to cross. Perhaps Hughes percieves weakness on their left that Rob can exploit better than SWP can???

Seeing as Bridge and Richards are 'wrong' on the OS team sheet I'd say it's a mistake rather than a tactical change!
