Apols if this has been covered elsewhere but I've just been on the Everton fans forum to see what they're saying about the Lescott saga and there was a thread on there about it being on SSN that us and them have made enquiries about his availability.
Wouldn't fancy it myself cos he is a bit of a poser imo who plays when it suits him.

Hughes got the best out of him before, maybe he can do it again

Bentley will only ever be a temporarily effective player, IMHO.

He clearly has talent but he has an attitude that won't see him staying at one club for very long. He caused issues at Arsenal because he wasn't getting his game when he wasn't all that good. He was always looking for a way out of Blackburn to a big pay-day. He'd come to us for another one and to move along (for another bonus) when he doesn't get to play often enough.

Avoid, he's overrated.

I wouldnt like to see him here, just dont think he has got what it takes, and I think his attitude stinks.

Would rather keep Petrov/SWP or get Robben.

I think we are already taking a chance on an ex-Blackburn player who hit some form a year ago, Bentley hasn't been in form for over a season and a half and we already have three players who can play right wing. This sounds like agent rumblings.

This all looks very much like the Bellamy and RSC threads, but that's only to be expected I suppose.

Bentley was quality at Blackburn. If Petrov wants out then he'd be a decent replacement if we needed someone to be landing crosses into the box. .

I disagree, Petrov is cover or shape altering for the left. Bentley is so awfully rightfooted and with Weiss, SWP and Tevez all able to play there all we'd be doing is ensuring Weiss leaves next window.

SWP doesn't really cross a ball into the box like Petrov, Tevez can be played in a number of positions up front. I agree that Bentley would limit Weiss' options but he's yet unproven and if he proves to be a failure, which I very much doubt, we could be left lacking for that option. Especially now we have RSC and Adebayor in the squad.

I'm not saying that Bentley is the answer, all I'm saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if he is.

Don't rate Bentley at all. Like someone else said he plays when he wants and is a right poser. He scored a good goal against Arsenal last season from about 40 yards, then kept trying to do it in every match. Avoid.

The bigheaded fucler got arrested last week for smashing up his Porche and he was 3 times over the drink drive limit.

I don't want a tosser like that anywhere near our club.

I really don't know where or when he would play, plus it would push Vlad the impaler further donw the pecking order and I saw enough of him at Barnsley to want see a lot more.
