Sir Alex wary of City bid

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes it would be ""foolish'' to rule out a title challenge from Manchester City this season.

""It would be foolish to ignore developments at Eastlands,'' said Ferguson. ""Manchester City do pose a new threat. We have only to look at how well Chelsea did with back-to-back championships after a massive injection of Russian cash to know money can talk.

""All the leading clubs are looking with interest to see how Mark Hughes handles the situation and whether he can make it work.

""We are all looking over our shoulders, though as far as Manchester United are concerned, it is not in fear.''

I love the way that Bacon Face never considers that his own club 'bought' the title. This despite the fact that they trampled every other club into submission, stealing the gate, television and European cash along the way.

He was the one ruling out a title challenge from City, now he's the one saying it's foolish to rule it out, 1 week later.
Clear evidence; his head's gone. He hasn't got a scooby what to say about it.

What will all his puppets say now? They've been following his initial statement & sticking their tongues up his arse agreeing with that, now he's changed his mind!

He could just as easily rule us out again next week; one of the problems with senility.

Old news, but it did strike me that like Martin O'neil, he's trying to put extra presure on Hughes, and less presure on their own jobs.
