It's Crystal Palace ffs, they should be quaking in their little boots

As were Brighton and Forest last season...We are in it to win it...we have a big enough squad not to take unecessary risks.

You'd think they'd learn wouldn't you? Somehow it never sinks in. More deluded than Geordies.

WARNING: NEIL WARNOCK TYPE BATTLING SIDE+ CUP= DEFEAT FOR CITY EVERY FUCKING TIME, YEAR IN YEAR OUT, ALL MY FUCKING LIFE.

Lets just go out & win for once instead of chucking it away yet again.

It's okay Ted, even when they score the ref doesn't give it to them...we are golden.

I think we should field a strong team but take the opportunity to have a look at a Toure Onuah CB pairing

If I had my way then Toure-Onuoha would be the first choice anyway and maybe rest Onuoha and give Dunne a game.

No brainer here guys.
Get the first 11 in there.
Another valuable opportunity to play together.
Concession would be, youth and fringe on the bench, with youth getting the green light ................... if all going to plan.

I agree if/should 3 - 0 up after 80 mins make changes/blood some youth. Makes complete sense. Starting 11 need match time and we also need to see youth fringe at a higher competitive level.

It's a squad rotation game nowadays as the 2nd half v Wolves proves.

Stevie rested for De Jong, Ned in for Dunne and Zabba for Micah, if signed maybe Lescott for Bridge. I'd be tempted to put one of either Ade or Tevez on the bench too.

If we got beaten with Weiss and McGivern, De Jong, Bellamy, Petrov, Garrido, Zabba in the team, I would be disappointed but that's cup footy.

Doubt we'd lose though.

Weiss in for SWP one of few changes for me. I thought Shaun was absolutely dead on his feet for the last 10 mins yesterday. Also bring in Bellamy (who was unlucky to be dropped yesterday) for Rob, Ned for Dunne and Zabs for Micah. Other than that, same team

Given
Richards - Dunne - Ned - McGivern
Weiss - De Jong - Zabba - Petrov
Tevez - Bellamy

That is a strong side but rests Toure and Bridge in defence for differing reasons - I think Toure probably needs careful playing at the moment and Bridge has very little cover if you disregard Garrido.

All of this midfield need a game whilst SWP and Ireland looked like they were blowing towards the end of yesterday's game.

Up front, Tevez would benefit from the game whilst Bellamy deserves a chance to see what he can do alongside him.

The subs should be a mix of those rested and kids such as Mac, McDonald, Mee etc.

Stick them on the bench then - if we get into a position where the game is safe they can be brought on (rather than gambling - and more importantly giving a few folks round here the chance to spout that old 'typical City' negative bollox if things go wrong)
