Eto'o sent four SMS messages to Mark Hughes

Eto'o where desperate for a move to Premier League.

The former Barcelona player Samuel Eto'o really wanted to move to Manchester City. He wanted it so badly that he sent four SMS messages to Mark Hughes according to the british tabloid The Mirror.

The spanish journalist Guillem Balague is writing about the SMS messages between Eto'o and Hughes in his column in The Mirror. Balague come forward with the SMS conversation between the manager and player, despite that Eto'o in the end went to Inter.

Eto'o wanted more time.

Eto'o wanted Manchester City to prolong the deadline for the transfer according to the column in the Mirror. But Mark Hughes wasnt keen on doing that. Mark Hughes have earlier said that City blew off the transfer with the former Milan player Kaká when he took too long time to decide his future.

Printed in a swedish newspaper who got it from the Mirror... He was never coming to Manchester!!

Yeah right!

After we've since signed the likes of Tevez and Adebayor ...... all of a sudden he wanted to come.

Funny that! It's a kinda of 'look what you could have had' moment!

Not even worthy of our attention. He never was a City player and if he'd wanted to come to us he had ample opportunity to express this.

Both we, and he, have moved on.

spurs look quite strong this season. i think we will have to do well top be ahead of them come may.

He had a freaking eternity BEFORE we imposed a deadline and still couldn't make a decision - he just wanted more time to dig up interest from a Champions League club while there was still an offer on the table from 'money bags' City (so he would be in a stronger negotiating position)
