start with a bit o' team news from the beeb eh?

TEAM NEWS

Man City could hand a first start to Carlos Tevez but Emmanuel Adebayor (groin) and Robinho (ankle) are doubts.

Tevez has recovered from a heel injury and started the friendly win against Barcelona while Wayne Bridge should be fit despite a slight hamstring problem.

Wolves are without last season's top scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (hamstring) and right-back Kevin Foley (knee).

Kevin Doyle (groin) and Christophe Berra (hamstring) are in contention but may have to settle for the bench.

Manchester City

Suspended: None Doubtful: Adebayor (groin), Bridge (hamstring), Robinho (ankle)

Injured: Johnson (groin), Kompany (toe), Santa Cruz (knee)

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Doyle (groin), Berra (hamstring) Injured: Ebanks-Blake (hamstring), Foley (knee), Iwelumo & Kightly (foot), Murray (knee)

Got a good feeling about today :) we been doing well away and that as our downfall last season. So if we can do well away at home we should tear these small teams. In Theory..

I think the "doubts" about Ade and Robbie are probably just paper nonsense, rested mid week so they'd be ready to go today.

Trying to have quiet 10 mins of reflection whilst getting ready to set off, will try and pop in to the Townley (mainly because I haven't stalked old John in ages) before getting in to the ground nice and early. Looking like I might need my shades again today in our new seats on the sunny side of the stadium.

...... hmmmmm, Tevez and Adebayor up front? it really is fantasy football

Bad bad timing for me this kick off.
Its the 1st day of Ramadan and the fast breaking time is at halftime.
First day it should be done at my Grandfather's so I will have to watch the 1st half at home and then hurry up there.
I guess its this thread for 2nd half.

Given
Ned-Dunne-Toure-Bridge
SWP-Ireland-Barry-Robinho
Tevez-Adebayor

I'm hoping

Given
Zab-Ned-Toure-Bridge
Ireland-de Jong-Barry
Tevez-Adebayor-Robinho

Worries me that Hughes has replaced Ned who was a rock last year with Toure instead of Dunne who was obviously our worry for half our games. Maybe its due to Dunne still being captain..

Tell you what. That is a really good set of subs.

I try not to get over-excited but...

Hughes even acknowledged how Ned was one of our shining lights last season. I still don't understand why he would rate Dunne over Ned... it just makes no sense! Is he afraid to move the captain armband to another lad?
