As he is still our Captain, I say it should stay Richard Dunne.

I'm going for Barry, already proven that he can lead a team, and has looked impressive so far this season.

I picked Toure. He just looks like a leader out there on the field. Barry would do fine, but I just didn't get that vibe from him so far...

100% Ned (if he was playing)....

This is what the Sun thinks: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... R=Football

KOLO TOURE is set to be named the new captain of Manchester City.

Current skipper Richard Dunne is on his way out of the club following the arrival of Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

Boss Mark Hughes is set to hand the armband to the former Arsenal centre-back, who moved to Eastlands for £14million last month.

Gareth Barry will fill in when Ivory Coast star Toure is missing in the New Year at the African Nations Cup.

Lescott completed a £24m move yesterday and has signed a five-year deal.

He could make his debut at Portsmouth on Sunday.

Hughes added: "I am delighted. I feel we have recruited a defender of the very highest quality."

Barry would be the obvious choice for me. On Saturday he was talking all the time, and marshalling the midfield.

I'm the only one who went for Stevie? The man's all City and a super professional, I guess it is a problem that nobody understands what he's saying

I'd go for Barry, he has proven he can do the job at Villa. Tourè is a good alternative though. Superman will be the captain in the future but right now I don't think he should be loaded with that responsibility just yet.

We've already got a captain and to suggest changing him at this stage of the season is basically slagging him and the team off after the good start we've just had IMO.

Yeah but isn't Dunne rumoured to be leaving? If he does, we will need a new captain.

I'd have to say Barry because it's the obvious choice and he's been outstanding since he signed.

However I wouldn't mind who Lesley chooses to be honest. He needs someone he knows he can trust to enforce his messages on the pitch and he's much better placed to make that decision than me.

I'd want it to be someone who has been here from before the cash and knows the workings of the club.

It would have to be a regular in the side.

I would want it to be a foreign player who has a good grasp of English.

A fans favourite.

Someone who leads by example.

Stevie Ireland??

From what I've seen so far, it's got to be Toure for me. He's shown leadership on the pitch, has always got something to say and I think he is one of the few that is guaranteed a 1st team place; continuity and all that.

And, of course, this all depends on If Dunney leaves?

Toure has won league titles, played chumps league football and at world cup. He has the most experience and is a natural leader. So Toure gets my vote

If we made all our decisions based on rumours then we'd all be in a very sorry state wouldn't we mate.

Dunnie is our skipper and until he is not, it's a bit shitty to talking about it.
