Pompey, anybody travelling?

Postby TomS » Wed Aug 26, 2009 8:07 pm

Who is going to Pompey?
Is there a away/City Pub to meet there in the "early hours" of sunday?

I for one will travel by car (or train, haven´t decided yet) from my holiday home in Somerset Coast on matchday......
So, two in a row away for me after been to Blackburn also......

Yep..Im traveling down for it. I cant remember the name of the pub I went into last season but Im sure it was just beghind the away end and was a good mix of fans with no trouble at all.. I actually thought it was an awful away day as our fans were utter shit, the ground is utter shit, display on the field was utter shit and so was the score line lol..

Im hopin this one will be alot better..

If I remember, they dont sell alcohol in the ground just incase you had the thought of gettin in early for a pint before ko.

Lookin forward to it though!!

Tom if you are driving and you get there early enough there is plenty of free parking on the side streets off the milton road. There are three or four pubs on the milton road and the pickwick is probably the closest to the away end, it will have an even mix of home and away fans.

Thx for the advice, mates!

Is it still the case that I´m not allowed to park in the streets when there is a thick yellow line on it?????
Easy to learn drivin´on the wrong side of the street (for me), but the special rules like speed limits, parking restrictions and so on I always have to think twice of it again to remember.......
