Hi Guys,

Still not allowed to post.

Any chance you could give this a plug?

Having got through the first(preliminary qualifying) round, Maine Road F.C entertain local rivals Ramsbottom U***d in the F.A.Cup tomorrow . K.O 3:00 PM. Adults £5 Concessons £2.

With City not having a game tomorrow, Road are hopeful that many of their fans will come down to Brantingham Road, Chorlton (M21 0TT) and give the other Sky Blues in Manchester a cheer in their efforts to progress to the next round. Wear your City colours and help produce a cup-tie atmosphere!

It would be much appreciated!

Listen, not prem, by a mile, however decent enough standard a lot of effort and Maine Rd always play football on the deck. worth watching and have been for yrs.

Busy tomorrow so can't make it but had a look at the fixtures on the site and noticed there playing at Valley rd in November so will definatly go along for that with a few mates.

Anyone know cost's for league games, suppose it'll be similar.

Thanks for the interest guys (and for the initial post,Wonderwall).

Yep, it is a fiver for nearly all games at this level. Kids under 16 are often free and usually £2 concessions (inc students on production of Card).

We did well at Flixton (Valley Road) last season winning 3-2 in the Trafford v Manchester derby. We drew with them at our place 1-1 when they kicked our young lads all over the place, led by a certain ex-rag, Ben Thornley!

Hazy is right, Road make a real effort to play football and this weeks 4-2 win up at Colne was superb entertainment, played at frightening pace.

We've just had a mention on Radio Manchester's Friday night programme. Cup Fever is building....honest.

If you can't make it tomorrow it would be great to see some of you guys sometime. Keep having a look at http://www.maineroadfc.com for the fixtures and other news. There is a forum on there if you've got any queries or just want to join in the banter.

Cheers

Each to their own and I can understand the pull of family and work. I hope your mate has come down though and from the cost point of view £5 entrance is really good value for what can be great entertainment.

We certainly got a few new Blues down for Saturday's cup game. As City don't have any Euro games there is a bit less football on offer at Eastlands, so if any of you do get withdrawal symptons have a look at http://www.maineroadfc.com for the fixtures.

Unfortunately, our next round game at home against Bamber Bridge clashes with City v Arsenal. We've already tried to get Bamber to agree to play on the Friday night, but the're not having it. I'll be at Eastlands, but a part of me will be itchng to know what is going on at Brantingham Road

Trying not to inundate you with Maine Road stuff (as I realise it isn't everyone's thing), but as there is no City game this Saturday...... why not get down to the true City of Manchester Derby!

Do you have a proper kit for sale and does it have Maine Road FC on the badge?

Wouldn't mind one if so!

Get the programme part in djm, why dont you lol.

On topic, i would like to say maine road is a great place to go and watch some decent footy. The entrance fee is definitely good value especially when compared to watching England online.

that's an interesting viewpoint to me, since i came to this game late as an adult and who fell in love with the game before the team. Pretty typical tho for longtime supporters to have the love affair start the other way around tho.

I love watching lots of footy...and support City. Wish i lived there to catch some Maine Road FC matches...it sounds fantastic.

cheers

That's the second time in a week or so I've been asked that (the other was an e-mail from Norway!). We are just on the verge of ordering more T-shirts and polos, but we thought replica kits were pushing it.....might have to have a re-think!

By the way if anyone is interested in receiving the occassional programme for free, just PM me with your address and I'll put one in the post.

P.S. Thanks Mod's for allowing the post. I appreciate one or two think there is a conflict of interest here. I promise not to overdo it!

I will be going to the match, I think it gives my lad a feel for how the game is played outside the Prem Bubble. Maine Rd play football 1st and foremost, IMO if you are doing 1 thing this season when we do not have a game, go and watch decent players play football on the deck and into feet, you will be surprised and will return.

I think you should...had a look on your site and the kits look basic but quite retro...would be nice to have one with Maine Road in the badge...I think a lot of City fans would snap them up

You're convincing me! I'll get some priced up and see if we can run with it. We wouldn't be looking for a big mark-up as it would be good advertising for us.

Thanks for your interest.

P.S....and 'Yes', Edgeley Blue, I would say the programme was a good read wouldn't I !!
