Training Saturday 29/8

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Sat Aug 29, 2009 6:59 pm

I couldnt get there today for training as it was in the afternoon and my cricket duties had to come first ( I sense a P45 on the way) but here is a quick report put onto BlueMoon.

All the first team trained around a squad of 24,only a light session though, bit of running, few sprints,a game of 2 touch, then all in,and finished off with some shooting practice, about an hour in total, before the short bus ride to the airport,to catch a flight down south.

Notable things were for me Petrov, who trained very well,Silvinho looks in great nick for 35,but only enough places in squad for 16.

Obviously no Dunney,also no Benjani,Johnson,RSC.

As Neil always comments on the spirit,it seems as high as I have ever seen from a City squad.

Enjoyed the quick hour watching the boys, anyone want anymore info feel free to ask

Am I dreaming or can we choose subs from a total of 18 now, not 16?

Cricket? Doug out!!!

I thought it you were allowed seven subs on the bench as well now.

Guys, if we are starting to pick on stupid things bluemooners say, we'll end up missing the game.

In fairness to Bluemoon's DH (Neil McNab's Tache I believe he's called)....that seems like it's done by his own reserve reporter (ie we are on a third choice scribe here).

Neil's reports are pretty good stuff...although clearly not as good as Roy's

btw...[strike]Doug[/strike], sorry, Mark Bowen is coming onto Talksport at some point soon to talk about today's game if anyone is interested
