I think sometimes rags working in the production of media/TV etc do that kind of thing as a wind up, it happens too often to be pure accident every time. Gives them a little laugh knowing we'll spot it.

course they would....thing is it won't be the editors who are doing it. it will be the lower level journos who write it and they will just do it for a laugh and hope that it slips past the sub-editors and gets onto the web

Yeah that's what I meant, the minions just making little 'mistakes' to wind us up. It occasionally happens the other way but it comes out about 100/1 in favour of the rags.
