No place for Hart which is a joke when you look at the other keepers.

I can't remember when we last had FOUR city players in the England squad......

One for the trivia lovers perhaps ?

It's pretty good isn't it! And, as Blue Toy says, it should actually be five!

I was going to start a new thread on this earlier, but I'll keep it in here.

Which of our non-English players would get in the England Team if they were English?

Given
Robinho
Adebayor
Ireland
Tevez

Does anybody else think Foster would not be included if he played for another team?

Looking at the list of keepers and strikers in that squad makes me sleep easier at night knowing that England have no chance of winning the world cup with such a lack of quality in key areas.

The fact that Wes Brown has over twenty caps just goes to highlight the bias towards rag players. If he had played for ANYONE else, does anyone think that he'd have more than two caps?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It says there that some bloke who plays for Los Angeles Galaxy is in the England squad! Another misprint surely?

Bridge listed as a Chelsea player...Seriously, I'm studying Media and Sports Journalism at Uni and if I got something wrong like that in one of my seminars by tutor, who works on the Times, would scream his head off at me and give me his token response "you can't make mistakes like that in the journalism world."! Sky Sports seriously what a bunch of muppets!

Ireland would be one of those players who gets stuck into a friendly game with a load of non regulars who don't know each other then dropped when the usual clique are fit because he failed to impress, then when he did get a game, he'd come on for Gareth Barry, have to play a role he's never played, do surprisingly well & get left out of the next squad whilst some over-rated rag tw@ gets 20 consecutive games to prove how shit he is.

Obvious isn't it. That little mistake conceals the fact that we have the most players on the England team.

Can't say I'd have expected to see that happen without Richards, Johnson or Hart.

I scratch my head every time I see him - firstly why the fek Baconface sticks with him, secondly why the fek Capello keeps including him - I really can't see it.

On teletext, it says that Michael Owen was widley expected for a call up, now he has transffered to U****d.

I always thought you got into the england squad on merit (Brown and Foster not included), what has owen done to get a call up???

Just goes to show that journ's expect players to be in the england squad, just cos they play for the scummers.
