Portsmouth in Man City talks for Johnson
01.09.09 | tribalfootball.com
Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson is a target for Portsmouth.
The People says Johnson has fallen out of favour with City boss Mark Hughes and Pompey are hoping first-team football can lure the talented youngster to the South Coast.
Johnson, 21, knows his chances are limited at City after Hughes's summer spending spree and - with an £8million transfer tag - a loan move looks like his only option.

Can't see it. Why would anyone want him at the moment?
TBH is going there though.

Chances usually are limited when you are injured. Very lazy journalism.

I really hope he can sort himself out, force his way into our team and become a City legend.
However, I think I'm going to be disappointed.

If he gets back and we are still playing the 4-3-3 I think he can find himself a spot alongside Ireland with Barry anchoring. the lad has so much potential it would be a shame if we didn't get to see it put into practice.

He's a tricky one Johno he's always injured and he don't help himself going out drinking etc all the time thus pissing off the manager and other team members. He has lots of talent but he's too much trouble IMO.

Maybe a 1 yr straight loan deal would be a win win we see if he is capable of getting back to his previous form and he gets a different enviroment .
