Shay Given or Joe Corrigan?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

corrigan. amazing at taking crosses. the ball would come in and you could look away and start a conversation with your mate, you just knew the outcome was a simple catch. few dared to challenge him on crosses either. i loved the way he'd come on at mr and flick the crossbar so it wobbled like a bendy twig. he was immense.

me old man tells me he was fat and embarrassing to begin with. keepers eh!
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

I think we can realistically start asking this question in about 10 years time

Shay has a mountain to climb to even be considered in the same class I hope he manages it

I agree with you. It is still early days for Given.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Joe for me!
Had a shaky start after harry finished up but became a really safe pair of hands and a City ledge!
I think we have always had a history of good keepers at City though...we've needed 'em!

Shay is undoubted class and although he is a new boy in time at the club I'm in awe of his professionalism.
He is a superb keeper and may yet eclipse Big Joe?
Only time will tell!
Really happy with him though!
