haahahah
Much more likely he was eating it and it was the only thing he had to hand to lob. Im not excusing them, I just think its funny someone has related a banana to a black man and thought in the heat of the moment it was on purpose as a racist taunt.
You have got to be joking.
There he just happened to have TWO unpeeled bananas. Just as the third goal went in he was about to give other to his missus and eat the other one himself. It just happened that Adebayor scored right at that minute and disgusted supporter got caught in the heat of the moment and threw both of the bananas to general direction of celebrating Adebayor. Let's face it, he got his punishment by being very hungry for next 20 minutes.
Of course he meant to throw them as racist gesture.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

thanks for e mail re city v arsenal.

however examples of bad behaviour do happen often enough,
to generate negative publicity and damage the reputation of players

showing disrespect and getting away with it can have a damaging effect

Of course, if you look closely, it could just be the end of a burger bun, which splits into its two halves, and
not actually a banana.

I was aware of the double entendre when I made the first comment. Hence, why I didn't ask what a dirty protest was.
But if it had been... Adebayor sprinted over in like 10s and didn't stay long. Either it's seriously quick acting or someone's been thinking ahead.

I think we're clutching at straws on this one.
Fans of a team whose starting XI is around 50% black bringing bananas to throw at an opposition player of the same colour? I don't believe it personally.

See, that proves they are not racist, or they would have thrown a black cameraman's stool and left the white guy alone,.....

I am so tired of hearing about the Arsenal fans throwing missles on the field, and that Adebayor deserves a ban because he celebrated by running to the arse-hole fans. If the FA has a stance that Footballers are role models thats fine and good, but what they also have to realize is that is that the fans are role models too because tons of people bring thier kids to the football games (and rightfully so), thus making the fans role models as well, arguably even more so then the players. If players continually get bans for throwing "missles" into the fans, (Drogba springs to mind as the most recent) then the fans need to recieve a fine or a ban for throwing things onto the field. The key is to make everyone equal, and that is why they are so forceful at punishing players when they make mistakes, but at the same time the fans need to be held accountable as well for behavior that is not welcome at a football ground. After reading what the Celtic fans did, they should never be allowed to play in COMS again. The Arsenal fans for throwing things at players and being stupid racist pricks, should get a ban or fine because the young gunner fans look to them for how to act at a football ground. The person who threw the "missle" that knocked the guy unconcious should be held accountable, not Adebayor. This hypocrisy is a huge problem in football now a days, I love English football, and people need to be punished so that the league doesn't end up like South America with fences all around the pitch treating it like a prison.
