The Bench.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The Bench.

Postby dazby » Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:13 pm

I thought our bench players were brilliant on Saturday. I've never seen players sitting so comfortably, without slipping or sliding off. Truly brilliant.

Then when they warmed up they looked like they were ready to come on at ANY given moment. Very professional.

Surely you all agree with me on this.

Is this a Weiss SWP thread?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Why do we still call it 'the bench' when it is quite clearly a collection of very comfortable, heated seats? just a thought.

But yes, the players on the collection of very comfortable heated seats did well.

Weiss was stretching beautifully in the second half

He sported his training top with a debonair swagger and I think his limbering up really did put the fear of God up the Arsenal

I love the way they were warming up in front of our fans.

Up and down they went but always in front of the City fans. That's what a true pro is all about. They get paid thousands a week and realise the morale responsibility they have to behave. Could have been a riot otherwise.

Sylvinho and Zabba did some superb work on the touchline. li'l Sylv in particular bolstered morale in my section no end.

don't let's forget Taylor's memorable cameo while Shay was receiving treatment.
Pure quality arm swinging and high kicks
