tell you what the videos do prove:
he couldn't see Ade's face when the incident happened, and the most compelling evidence against him was that he was looking down at RVP when his foot struck. From behind (the angle he looks most innocent) he seems to be looking away and therefore could be seen as an accident.
I'd also say his view of the point where foot and face met was obstructed.
So I wouldn't hold out too much hope that we can discredit Clutterbug.

In truth at full speed can you see anything wrong with the challenge? I can't. Only from the third angle which is slowed down frame by frame can you actually see the intent shown by Ade towards RVP.

No naked eye could have spotted that so I do believe the ref. Unfortunately its the BBC/SKY cameras that have done us in on this occassion but to be fair, he does deserve the ban.

If it was one of our players with a cut and bruised cheek from been stamped on then I'm sure we'd be praising the FA for a three match ban.

I actually dont think that would be the case,most people would think brilliant they are banned but still be saying that the player has been stuffed by the ref and the powers that be.

in my opinion there's no way he could have not seen the incident. He may have made the wrong call at the time, and regretted not acting. He may have thought it innocent at the time, but then going back and watching frame by frame re-thought his position ... but none of those things should be open to deliberation by anyone. Why aren't they going back through the entire game and correcting all his mistakes and non calls then? that is the logical next step. ri-fucking-diculous

Is it possible that Adebayor was able to strike van Persie, with intent, faster than a trained ref only metres away? There was a clear view of the incident and not a lot happening elsewhere that would have distracted him.

If it possible to be aware in that fraction of a second that your boot is going to collide with someone's head while you're attempting to regain control and even staying on your feet at all is an achievement, and then to recognise that you don't like the ex team-mate and to either kick him in the face or deliberately fail to avoid such a collision.

If Clattenburg didn't see it, it was because there was nothing to see. Other camera angles are actually seeing something that's not really there.

I see Adebayor clearly move his foot towards RVP at a greater speed than would be normal if he was coming down to land. I've shown the footage to my work colleagues today (5 of them), all support different teams, some not at all, and everyone of them say he moved his leg to make contact and it is deliberate.

I'm with MRM here. Ade did it intentionally and should probably get punished for it. Clattenburg should have seen it, though, and van Persie should have gotten at least a yellow for his initial challange.

If Ade gets done for his celebration as well, we should report van persie's celebration, which was just as inflamatory, if not worse.

I think he seen both incidents, but thought it was dog eat dog and didn't want to send both players off. The 2 footed lunge by VP was counteracted by Ade catching him, but he didn't think VP had been hit too bad so let the game go on. Thought he had a good game myself but has let himself down by stating he didn't see it!
