When I was about 14 I played at soccer school in Tameside with Micheal Clegg who went to play at full back for Man U. Anyway we were mates as kids and at the youth games I took a picture of himin that lovely maroon brother city shirt.
Years later he went onto play for the rags and I happend to see him and asked if amyone at united knew he was blue, he said no and pleaded that i said nothing to no one. Well I gave that pictue to a mate that passed it to his rag mates who were in a rag supporter club who said it was a lie.
Sorry Mr Clegg you should also be proud of being blue no matter where you are......!

He was trying to win favour with the rags but a picture dont lie.
I actually don't buy that shit that foiballers spout about supporting teams as kids then just stopping when they sign for a different club. Can any of us think of saying " yeah I used to be a blue but i got a job at united so don't like them anymore". Utter bollocks.
David May for all his faults did not hide his blue past and happily named his fantasy football team Man City while at the rags.

Rag fan or not.Im so proud of Superman.Hes an important part of City's destiny.
Lee Dixons a blue but did it stop him from givin 100% to the Gooners.
A good footballer has no sentiments when there on the field..Ireland will want to beat the shit our of the rags tmoz.

Dixon once gave an interview where he said he loved City but when he played against us all he cared about was getting the points for Arsenal. So Stevie supported the rags as a kid but he has seen the blue light now and even been quoted as saying he wants to stay with us forever coz he loves MCFC.

In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Well to be fair - who would be surprised that he was / is a Scum fan - he comes from Ireland - and whilst there are some worthies on here from the emerald isle - I am sure they would accept that the majority and scum / pool
I can live with it - because what he also is - is a total professional and he will give his all today

He's from Ireland...OF COURSE he supported United as a kid...probably 50% of Irish kids do...with the other 50% supporting Celtic/Liverpool
Stevie Ireland is 100% blue...the guy has said he wants to spend his entire career ar City...end of story
