We Knew it would be difficult.

This breaking the "Sky 4" stranglehold business, was never gonna be easy, many predicted the 'powers that be' being marshalled against us, but I know others don't believe these conspiracy theories.
I have to say that I fall into the 'deeply cynical' camp but even I have been surprised by the level of vitriol and injustice thrown at us already.
You can say what you like about the Adebayor incident, but when you see it played at real speed, it is never a three game suspension type of offence. The FA have judged intent, when in reality it really is difficult to say with 100% certainty that he meant it. Compare this with genuine stamps from the likes of Hughes himself, (in rag days) Christine, Bergkamp and even Mary Poppins, all got away with it. Eduardo is given a two game ban for diving, everybody saw it, everybody knows what has happened, but he escapes punishment because there is uncertainty as to whether he really meant to deceive the referee. Nobody is arsed about whether there is 'certainty'about Ade's offence though.
Adebayor faces a further ban for his celebration, maybe not the wisest, but he certainly doesn't breach guidelines not to leave the field of play. Unlike Mr Percy who does and stands swearing at the oppo fans....Good grounds for reminding of the standards expectedeh? WTF is that?Or Slackjaw Chuckle, who is now a repeat offender, but you just know that absolutely fuck all will happen to him.
Then there is this Bellamy incident. Absolutely nothing, not a punch, not really even a bitch slap. But once again the FA are looking into it? Why? it was a tiny exchange.

And if that was not enough, there is the old favourite of just ignoring when the full time whistle should blow. How many times is this gonna happen? It wasn't even concealed this time, it was so fucking blatant. But you get all the pundits and media men cosying up to the filth with them chortling away about "Fergie Time" like it should simply be accepted as a bit of a big lads' joke.

If anybody was in any doubt about the hurdles to overcome, then the events leading up to, during and after the stitch up at the Swamp should see the scales falling from your eyes.

This is going to be really tough.

You're dead right mate.

I don't want to keep coming across as one of those whinging fucks that use everything BUT the team performance as an excuse... but I have to say we're only 5 games in this season and I feel there is massive media publicity against us.

Even on SSN right now they're justifying the fabricated time added on with their little clock and commentary stating that unlike Mark Hughes thought, Owen's goal was only about 2 or 3 seconds out of time.

Oh that's ok then. Only 2 seconds. But over all the same... and the justfication was that Bellamy's goal celebration activated a 45 second add on....

But Owen's didn't? How very very strange...

I am very confused about this time added on for a goal celebration.
How long are you officially allowed between scoring a goal and getting back for the kick off. There must be a FINITE amount of time required. Is this added on to or subtracted from the 45 seconds?
Why does this strict adherence to time adding on only seem to happen at Old Trafford?
Is it a tradition?

I've never heard this time for a goal celebration bull shit before. They just make this crap up as they go along to fit their own crooked agenda.

If he really added time for that, instead of just playing until they scored, why did he not add for the 5 goals scored/celebrated beforehand plus 3 subs? That would have added up to nearly 6 mins alone. He chose not to in normal time but felt it was ok to add it in injury time?

No mate, its not even that straight forward. If he chose to only do it in injury time, then why do it for Bellamy's and not for Owen's?

There is NO explanation that can justify it. They cheated and won. They'll have to keep cheating if they want to better us in the long run though.

7 minutes for fuck sake! 7! its just insane thinking about it again.

they have got away with it again. they can only beat us with help from the ref. i CANNOT wait for the return fixture at coms. there have been plenty of high score games like that but i have never seen time added on like that before.

Apart from the added time, did anyone feel that the decision to give a free-kick against Tevez that lead to the goal, rather than to him, was completely wrong?

Soft as anything but the free kick for their 3rd goal was even worse. Evra just fell over.

quality post piccs, quality.

so true, we are going to need real determined cold as ice mothafuckas for this job. can see why elano had to go, any hint of discord in the squad and the media would try to drive a big fuck-off wedge through it.

for some reason though, any doubt i had about us not making it have evaporated. i am dead certain now we will get to the top. dead certain.

Well even though Baconface & the media are changing history as we speak (should've won 7-0 ffs!!!) how many of these great Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool sides have come back, in any game, home or away 3 TIMES v the rags? ( or when have any of them including the rags done it against any of the other Sky 4 teams for that matter?)

It doesn't happen full stop.

Did anyone see Ian mcGarry and that prick from The Observer on sky sports before the derby.....Well there was 3 of them ripping us to shreds, slagging us off to fook.I couldnt believe the bias towards our club from rag reporters, and Sky have the cheek to put this shite on air and pay the cunts.

Sorry Piccs.Didnt mention that was a cracking post m8.
All the shit were taking from all angles of the media.Iv seen more defiance and unity between blues this season than any other.
No delusion here, but we will kick Arse out of the top 4 this season and shut these fudge packers up for good.

I like the way people are trying to explain the amount of time in terms of...

'Oh yeah...when the board is held up it's a minimum of 4 minutes...not 4 minutes'

Has anyone EVER heard that before?!

So basically it really IS Fergie time where the referee can let it go on and on indefinitely

Did you see SSN this morning? Dunno if it was repeated during the day, but I only saw it before i left for work, they outlined what the referee can add time on for if injury time has already started..... there were a few of the usual ones, like injuries, substitutes, time to restart the game after a goal, time to get an injured player off the pitch, and last but not least...... "Or for any other reason"

So that pretty much settles it, that there are an infinite amount of possibilities that could have conspired to the extra minutes being added.
