Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

just heard him slap that fucking WANKER ian mcgarry down on five live.
mccuntfeatures: "you should have told your players to shut up shop in the injury time"
Bowen: "well, i dont know if you've ever been on the bench during a derby but it's a little hard to make yourself heard"
not a word from mctwatty, laughter from bowen and the ex-players on the panel. quality.

I heard that and he still seemed very angry, I hope that the squad and the players get it out of their system and focus on Fulham,
Mind you, that McGarry is the most anti-City of all the journos, and that competition is severe.
"You sir, will either be hung as a traitor or die of the pox"
"That sir, depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress"

What a stupid fucking thing to say in the first place.
Obviously the aim was to shut up shop FFS - players don't need to be told that from the bench.
The thing about that game was that our players were too emotionally charged at times. That used to help us win derbies, but now we just need to play to our strenght and we'll beat any team.
Yesterday was a hard to take lesson. A very important lesson that could well set us up for a beautiful season. Our siege mentality is at an all time high and we have £100m of talent to join in the fun.

you'd be angry if you were good at your job and some mong like him tried to tell you how to do said job.
i remember the prick stating unequivocally that robinho would be a chelsea player by the end of jan09.
"100% certain" i think were his words.

What a legend, doesn't back down in the slightest. How the hell did they time 80 seconds between us kicking off and the final whistle going?!

Dug up some old McGarry articles as I wasn't sure who he was. I have never seen so many lies and pure fiction from any journalist in my puff. I also remember him on the Sunday morning programme that Jimmy Hill used to front stating that Robinho would be gone last January even though it was against FIFA rules he had it on solid information that Robinho would be gone. Absolute joke of a journalist. Martin Samuel did have a good article in the Mail about us today though.

What a great interview. I get the impression we are more of a team, with a focussed belief in ourselves, than we have ever been before.
Just need the fans to be as one now!!

Ino mate that Ian McGarry was the worst, 84 seconds after kick-off from Owen's goal the F/T whistle was blown? I don't fucking think so, it was 16 seconds FACT. That rule dosn't exist, it's a load of made up rubbish just so the media can lick Fergusons arse some more without having to say anything bad about him.
McGarry chats utter shite anyway, in January he stated "Robinho will be gone by the end of the week." hmm, how did tthat one go Ian?. Tosser.
Fuck Mcgarry, fuck the Rags, onwards and upwards with the blue army.

I chatted to him earlier today at Carrington and he didn't mention he was starring on the radio. I certainly will pass that on.

I am glad that our coaching staff are now speaking up in defence of us. It is sort of building up a sense of a seige mentality, and it will be good if we have Hughes and Bowen taking shit for our cause, rather than our players. I really do believe it helps when managers, and coaches take the pressure and criticism off the players. I've been very please with our responses to what was a horrible Sunday.
What happened on Sunday was disgusting. We should make sure now, that we will do everything within our power, to repay all those bastards back at our replace. Right from Twat Neville, to the ref, and to most importantly, that scoreline at the END of injury time.
There's only one Antoine!

Doug, next time you see Mark Bowen please congratulate him for me. I thought he was brilliant in that interview. He didn't take a backward step. I loved his passion. Top stuff.
