OS tickets - IT'S BACK!!

Postby john@staustell » Tue Sep 22, 2009 8:58 am

The 'essential maintenance' on the ticket site seems to have lasted for 9 days now. Seems a bit like painting the Forth Bridge. Wonder what disasters have befallen it? I know you can book by phone but this will surely affect attendances against Fulham and W Ham.

Anyone covered this and know what the problem is?

Perhaps they're creating a super duper 3D seating plan that doesn't load properly rather than a 2D one?

Perhaps they've realised they can make 2 quid 'booking fee' a ticket by making you ring in on an expensive number. I was trying to get a ticket all last week and it was either down or didn't have all the necessary parts of the page to let me log in, hence I gave up on Saturday and rang in. That's £4 profit from me because their site is down - at that rate, I'd be suprised if it's ever back up.

I do think to myself a lot why do City do this kind of thing in the run up to a busy week a game tomorrow then next Monday.

Do it when were likely to be quiet.

for "essential maintenance" read catastrophic failure.

Unbelievable the the new OS hasn't got a working ticket system. Not good enough I hope someone is getting their arse kicked.

Tannoy message heard at COMS

"Mr Bellamy and Mr. Adebeyour please report to the IT department customers waiting"

That'd get the buggers working on it!

So - on the 13th day after it closed for 'essential maintenance', or catastrophic failure, whichever you like, it's back.

On first glance it loads very sharpish and it is no longer possible to go and make a cup of coffee whilst it is deciding whether to load or not.

Lets pray the issues with this are now a thing of the past!

I've got 0 points now since it came back! Anyone else have this problem? All my ticket history is still there, but in the points box it says 0.

Woohoo, my points have reappeared.

I thought it was strange that I had no points as I'm sure I have been to some matches!

Yeah no doubt that was just a glitch and would have been sorted out later as it wasn't the highest thing on their pecking order.
