Put your mast out for posterity.

I will say yes because I have faith in all of Leslie's signings.

Never a total hit, because I doubt he'll ever make it up the pecking order. I think we're a rapidly evolving club, and some 'big' signings are going to be left by the wayside. 20-ish starts, 30-ish sub appearances, and about 15 goals are what I expect, over 3 seasons.

that'd be pretty decent return from so few starts.

Will RSC be success? Ultimately that's down to what are the expectations from him. We paid big price for him and you'd think that at that price he'd be number one striker but he'll never be there ahead of Ade, Tevez and even Bellamy. Wider audience and media will rate him through his price tag though and I don't think he'll ever live up to that. However many people see him as 'impact player' from the bench, essentially a targetman, and in that role he might perform with some success.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

yes.

he is an imposing, skilful striker capable of pulling the best cb's all over the place. has good first touch, excellent close control and a great header of the ball.

also, from what i've heard a superb pro to boot.

only downsides to me are the obvious injury ones.

Yes from Me. I'm looking forward to seeing him play. If he can hold the ball up as well as Ade we'll have further decent options up front. I don't see him in the 'impact' role, for me, he'll either be on from the start or not at all

I am hoping he will have the same response Bellamy has had under Hughes at City and acually become a better player because of the quality around him and the competition for starting slots.

I am goin YES.

By the way. It is a yes or no question. Why is "Neither" an option?

Beat me to it. You're either a success or you're not.
Very sloppy that Daz.

I went for the neither option!

Yes.

This side will create chances all day long for strikers. If he plays every week he is a 15-20 goals a season.

I dont think he will play every week so should be judge on the amount of important goals he gets. I would be playing him in games away from home against teams like Stoke and Bolton who will kick lumps out out us.

I say yes.

With the squad we are going to have it will be hard for a forward not to be a success.

Have to disagree. There are lot of players that are simply "alright". Not great success nor complete shite.

The way we're set up to play he will have no trouble finding the net when he starts games. Im pretty sure he will make us love him over time.

Perhaps but our system isn't all too dissimilar to system Bayern were playing under Ottmar Hizfeldt. He was very very poor throughout his time in Germany.

We will see but fact remains, he has had one season in his ten years in Europe where has scored more than FIVE league goals. Albeit very good season and under Hughes. I'm bit surprised that so many people think he is guaranteed to be success. Or is this another one of the "showing the support" topics where you are not allowed to analyse hard facts about his career?

I will say he is either flop or neither. I will go with neither as I do think he'll have some influence off the bench.

IF he stays fit, I think he'll be an absolutely enormous success. Adebayor has shown us what a great footballer he is, in spite of being 9 feet tall & RSC is a similarly skillful, intelligent player. Not as quick or tricky as Ade but just as good touch, even better in the air & possibly a better finisher with both feet. Also he's capable of playing alongside Ade so once he gets match fit I expect to see the two of them together quite a bit with Ade coming deep & also running behind.

May take a while to get match fit but when he does; our attack will be a defenders worst nightmare. We need Robbie to start putting in the kind of balls Giggs was putting in v City then, like the rags did, we can switch styles if a team susses us but we'll actually be much much harder to stop, in fact I'd suggest Rocky & Ade would be unplayable with the correct quality of crosses. Weiss could start to figure in that respect.

In light of all of Hughes' signings I'm hoping that he follows suit and fits into the dynamics of the team and then delivers when required.

With the African Cup of Nations happening in Jan/Feb? it is vital he has games under his belt and that he has an understanding with all the players so that we don't miss Ade too much...if at all!
