class. And it was our very own Stephen Ireland that caught him!
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I was actually watching that game! I've laughed alone at that ref looking like Stevie for a good while now.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Huge debate going on about this in Sweden right now. Lots of ex-keepers coming out and confessing it that they did it alll through their carreers. It's been going on for years and years - a bit strange that noone's picked it up until now.

Why would he do that? Its hardly a few inches and theres a 1/100 chance that it may have made a difference, but to do it on live tv and not expected to get caught is incredibly niave

What happened to him though? Did he get a match ban?

Actually, when the post isn't in straight angle but twisted inwards, if the ball hits the woodwork it's much more likely to bounce out rather than in. That's the idea, not so much making the goal smaller. That trick was taught to us already in youth football!

I think UEFA should take action, look at camera replays and he should be publicly ashamed and hanged. There should be moral outrage and three week long debate whether or not keeper has a small cock and he is compensating for that.

I learned that as well when I played keeper in my school days... all of the posts during the games were actually in the ground so it was impossible to do, but during training it makes you look like god with gloves on!

It was on paper here that they are going to decide on it in a month and he is going to play until then. Considering there's 6 games to go in Swedish league and IFK Gothenburg are leading the table on same points with AIK, it seems that they are going to try and carry it out so that it doesn't affect the title fight this season. Needless to say that IFK Gothenburg are more or less Rags of Sweden.
