Shocking news about RVP

Postby DoomMerchant » Sat Sep 26, 2009 3:45 am

He apparently exaggerates falls to try and get penalties and influence referees. I think the worst was when he stuck his face into Ade's boot on purpose in order to get him suspended. This article should allow Ade to start playing again on Monday instead of sitting out one more match.

I actually agree with what he says in the article. If they don't fall they don't get the free kick.

Didi Hamman made an art of it and we applauded him every time he did it.

Same, actually like the fact he is trying to be honest on the subject without attempting for sainthood.

Where have I said that??? If a foul is committed the player is making sure it's seen.

I know you're only nagging.

What he's saying is spot on in one way; referees encourage cheating by often not giving free kicks & NEVER giving pens to players who stay on their feet when tripped/pushed. If someone tries to kick a player over on his way to goal, knocks him off balance but he doesn't fall, the ref plays it on & NEVER calls it back & gives a pen, even if the foul has seriously impeded the attacker.

Good article, says as much about the referees in the country as the players who "exaggerate"/dive/cheat or whatever you want to call it.

Ultimately, if what RVP is saying is a common thought amongst footballers, this falls back to the referees not being brave enough to give decisions like the one with Keane last week.

If the players are being given a little shove in the box that causes them to go off balance but they feel they wont be given anything because the ref is too scared to blow up for what may appear a slight contact, then we have to question the way the game has been refereed over recent years.

We planted over 2000 of those stickers around OT the night before the derby. Lamp posts, bus stops, trafford pub, the swamp, bins, chippies, car mirrors, tram stops, trams(jibbin on), everywhere. Most got defaced before the match though the miserable cunts.

Of course he does this at least he is big enough to admit it. Rooneys just as bloody bad if not worse for it.. I never seen such a big guy fall so bloody easy in the box in my life.
