Petrov. Tevez and Toure close runners-up.

De Jong was "outstanding" tonight... think he won every 50/50 ball.
Gets better every week... fancy him for a goal against Villa, because they will try and keep Barry as quite as they can.

De Jong - outstanding
Good games from Bellers, Petrov ( would be a great player if he wasn't such a pansy) & Bridge

Nige for me, he was awesome from start to finish, played maybe two poor passes all game and won about 30 (possibly an exaggeration!) tackles

Zabaleta for me.
Gave us shape & consistency. A threat going forward, energetic & committed defensively. Eliminated the worries I have when imagining Micah in the same situations.
Tevez is really growing on me, particularly in terms of effort, which i hadnt previously taken much notice of.
Yes Petrov is a threat on his day, but he reminds me too much of a little kid who is better than his mates and tries the outrageous far too often as oppose to taking the right option. Last year I missed him, but as will be interesting with Robson`s return, he must do more for the team if he wants to guarantee a starting place.
Don`t wish to sound negative. Top top performance in parts and well worthy of the spoils.
Am utterly fascinated and excited at the potential we have. (smug mode on for another week)

Went for Petrov. Could have been one of several others but I thought he shaded it.
Tevez probably the unluckiest but some profligacy cost him. He could have wrapped that match up for us before half-time.

Zabaleta for me, simply for the fact that you never noticed any attack of theirs coming from his side of the pitch......whereas if Micah was playing??.....
Hard on Petrov who I thought was sensational today and had a hand in most of the good stuff, or Tevez who settled for 2 and could have had 5......but mad Pab Zab just edges it for me today.
A real RB makes a whole difference to the Right-sided CB and his partner.

Petrov for me. A point to prove and he proved it well, plus he (just about) lasted the full 90.

I thought De Jong, he is so industrious in midfield he had Diamanti in his pocket, totally out muscled him all night stifling his threat.
For me he is absolute class.

So many excellent performances but De Jong for me followed by Tevez and Bellamy.
"That's great, tell him he's Pele and get him back on."
John Lambie, Partick Thistle manager, when told a concussed striker did not know who he was.

Interesting that 7 out of 11 have secured votes - truly a great team performance.

My stream this morning was 2 seconds of action with 15 seconds of still. However, in my two seconds I heard Barry groin strain. Is that correct?
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Heard he has been ill and really shouldn't have played.

de Jong for me, good performances from Petrov and Tevez up front to. Bellamy just seems to get faster and faster! Bridge is also getting faster and faster too. Great energy levels and he looks so sharp. He's even started tackling! On the other hand SWP got beaten for pace time and time again, you don't see that often.
Toure did some superb tackles and Zabaleta offer a great outlet from the right with a great understanding with Tevez already.
The only players not to play above average today were Barry and SWP, everyone else was very good.
