Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I understood from various articles that Ashley had offered £5m against his £9mcontract but his lawyers were looking for much more. £2m would be nice I suppose but this must be something of a snub for KK.
Cant believe all you read in he papers of course but I can't imagine Keegan is too happy with this. Definitely dont see him returning to football though.
Two lots of good news for Newcastle in one day then, first this and then the news that Joey will be out for months with his dodgy feet.

his claim was apparemtly for 25 mill including 16 mill for reputational damage/future loss of earnings.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

They are a strange strange bunch. Some of them wanted him to get the full amount to! That would have put them in admin and 10 points deducted. I swear they support Keegan more than the club.
I work next to a Newcastle fan and he came out with this gem half an hour ago. Hopefully when the takeover is complete in the next week or so we can finally get Shearer back as manager. I said hang on your top of the league and destroying all at the mo, why change your manager. He replied cos Shearer will do well in the Premiership to which I ended the conversation by stating with Shearer in charge there is far more chance of you not making the playoffs this season.

'Stigma' damages apparently. I'm sure I can try that off someone.
Not sure what the problem is buying a player he'd only seen on U-tube. I thought that's how Sven did it too! :)

Found this pearler
Were you around in the days of Kev? When he played when he was manager. He does love us.
Do you REALLY think Kev would have been after £25 million and IF I say IF he had won £25 million do you not think it would have come some of it back into the club he loves.
What he is 'trying' to say is he would of given the money back to Ashley? The thick twat.

No, it would be like Robin Hood: Steal from the rich, Ashley, and give to the poor, Newcastle United.

He is probably fucked then. If the courts award less than was offered out of court the claimant usually has to pay both sides costs. If Ashley really offered £5m to settle then KK could be broKKe.

So sad when people sacrifice such a big reputation for some cash. Seems like KK & the Toon deserve each other.

Ashley was crazy to touch Keegan in the first place - he should have paid up in full in the form of a stupidity tax.
