Excited as well, even though I've decided to be a tea-total tonight. I think we'll run them over.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. Then again, I always do.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

i'm with Discocunts on this one. It's our most important match of the short season thus far. We win we're in 3rd and feeling super confident...lose and we don't move from 6th (unless i think Villa beat us by 3 or something ridiculous sounding) but we definitely lose a chance to keep up (and pass in the case or Scouse1, and Arse) with the big boys which is arguably where we should be in my opinion. This is a tricky fixture for us...we need a win tonight to show our ambitions.

It's a big statement match and Villa will have a real chip on their shoulder to prove they are a force to be reckoned with. Which i believe ultimately they are...

fingers crossed. COME ON CITY!

Well i think this will be a bloody hard game. Im sure that we will have enough to win but by no means will it be easy.

Although I'd love for this to finish as a draw, I think youse lot'll win. It'll set the tabloids into overdrive tomorrow an'all.

Damn ESPN! Woulda been a good game to watch this one.

For anyone who has the ESPN channels on TV, there is a 'Man City Classics' on ESPN Classic channel right now.

First game from Jan 71. Chelsea 0-3 Man City.

Gutted I couldn't make it down there for tonight. Will of course be watching it on tele with the rest. Watching it with a Villa fan tonight unfortunately. I think this will be a tough one, but it shouldn't be out of our limits to win this. We need to win a lot of games away from home this season if we seriously consider top 4 a possibility. Picking up 3 points on a Monday night with almost a full squad available while we are in form is something we have to do tonight. Come on City!

Can't help but feel sorry for Petrov after his performance last week.

What do people reckon Barry's reception will be like from their fans?

I'm quite concerned about the aerial threat from Carew tonight. Our defence aren't exactly great at winning headers in and around the 6 yard box!

Are we going for it or what? That 11 should fucking rip 5 more arseholes against Villa. I just pray Dunne has one of his days, does anyone know if he is due one? I know they had a sticky start but have a good defence and WERE having a nice winning streak.

Fucking break them City, Ade will be well up for it
