Toffees boss sniffing out Fanni deal

Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly interested in a move for highly-rated Stade Rennes defender Rod Fanni in the January transfer window.

The Toffees boss has sent a number of Scouts to keep tabs on the France international, who plays at right back, according to the French press.

Fanni's contract with Rennes expires in 2011 and Moyes could be tempted to make an offer in a bid to bolster his defence.

"I am not aware of any club interested in me," Fanni told Skysports.com.

"I've been told Everton is looking at me, but nothing official so I can't comment, I am here at Rennes, so let's see."

Everton boss Moyes is also rumoured to be keeping an eye on Fanni's Rennes team-mates Kader Mangane and Asamoah Gyan.

Also see the inevitable comments.. ;-D

I don't think Hughes will go for it, hi sguy is over six foot and you don't need a big Fanni in your squad. Anyway they would only be available three weeks out of four.

Actually. It's not .... is it ?

If you had posted the real headline then yes.
Otherwise . it's a waste of time.

Is that a wind up? FFS you wouldn't go on live TV with a stupid name like that would ya! In fact, if i was him, as soon as i hit 16 years old i'd be straight down the town hall to get it changed. His mam & dad must have been right bastards, or thick as fuck.

Come and get me, says Fanni (after playing for the reserves for half a year)

Proper, proper shit them mate.
Haven't a clue what you were thinking if you thought they were funny.

0/10 - much improvement needed.
