Maurizio Gaudino,I thought he was a great player for us in his short spell.

Even bought a t-shirt with his picture, with the logo “everything we do was driven by you, taking the piss out of his track record with performance cars, what a character.

Does anyone else agree?

According to Google images this is Maurizio Gaudino lmao

I think this is Steve Coppell’s best mate Micheal Frontzeck, please correct me if I am wrong.

I loved that kit as a kid. I can recall my mum sneaking me and Fu to Hyde sports the day it came out and buying us both the full kit, she made us promise not to tell my Dad as he would hit the roof. Safe to say he did when he saw me parading round in it.

Back on thread I loved gaudino and can remenber being dragged over the seats by a load of lads as he headed in that goal against the Pool. We all went mad. God those were the days City fighting for the lives, loved them all the same.

Entertaining character was Morris, and source of a top city song ...

"Just one Gaudino,
From Germany,
He has a fetish,
For your car key,
He robs Lambourghinis,
He is Gaudinooooo of Man Cityyyyyyy"

Obviously to the tune of just one cornetto.

Only home shirt I don't have from the last 25 years.

I loved Gaudino. Have a photo with him at home from my first ever City game back in 1995 against Leeds at Maine Road. I remember him being awesome that day.

I thought he was going to be the next big thing.
Mind I thought that about Buster and (sorry Daz) Simon Colossimo.
here's the Mayor of London trying to get in Mauro's shorts:

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

No. We were a crap team and desperate for anybody with a tiny bit of flair. The German with an Italian name did one brilliant thing every 2 or 3 games but otherwise was absolutely anonymous. Hence his diversity of career into car stealing.

Maybe my judgement wasn’t particularly good being so young, still liked the bloke though.

I heard mention of Martin (Buster) Phillips in a post above, I remember Allan Ball signing him and saying he would be the first £15.000 000 player, never quite came off did it lmao.
