The England manager has told Rio Ferdinand if he dose not shape up he will be out of the team so say the papers if he follows through then he will put the fear of god into the rest of the then. I for one say good on him as long has he stands buy his convictions

I doubt he's said that at all. the opposite. he will be reminding Rio he is "the greatest". But Capello does select on form amd there aren't many who are guaranteed their place (including Plug if he keeps cocking up). The team probably know that already without the papers speculating.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I would definately drop plug for tonights game and the upcoming friendlies and take a look at someone else. That ugly bastard will cost us a game when it matters in South Africa next year with his lack of concentration GUARENTEED.

Will Beckham be involved tonight? There was no need to use him in the Ukraine because it wasn't on television.

According to John Terry, Capello has put the fear of God into the whole team - they all feel their places are form-based:

I love that laser pen idea. What a great way of naming and shaming!

I think it's a really nice touch that he has invited every player who has been called up during the qualifying campaign to the game as guests of the FA tonight.

The more you hear about him the more his quality comes out

Trapattoni on the other hand seems increasingly like a clown

That's brilliant. What we've got is, at last, a real quality manager in charge of the England team. I don't think we've had a manager who's actually in charge of the players since Alf Ramsey. Hate to say it but even Bobby Robson was dominated by them.

Some are taking the piss on here but when the World Cup comes around, provided most are fit, this is a team that genuinely has a good chance of winning it & I'm not someone who tends to overrate England, believe me. This is the best chance since 1970 imo. Of course that will depend on selfish rags not getting themselves sent off in crucial games & Spain + Holland fucking up.

Whatever happens I hope they try to talk him into staying on afterwards otherwise those morons will give the job to someone like Pearce & we'll be a joke again.

Have you forgotten our own Lescott !! Even though he has not set the world on fire since he joined, I still think he is better than
Rio in his current form.
Its a shame Ned is not playing regularly this season, otherwise he could have laid a big claim for a spot in the squad (based on his
last season's form).

I think Capello's dont brilliantly, a lesser manager (like Mclown) may have stuck Pug on the bench after the greif he got from that cock up on Saturday, but fair play to Capello - He's Shown him were he whent wrong, told him to sort himself out and given him the chance to prove that he can straight away ...

Its Pugs slot to loose really - and a lot of Premiership football to play until the world cup so the likes of Lescott etc will be knocking on the door if Pugs form goes further south.

Personally I think he's only good if he has a strong GK behined him telling him what to do, Foster is wank and Pug can't think for himself. James for example will shout orders and tell him were to be.

Detracting away a little - Not heard a more vocal GK than Given in the Prem - Fookin love the guy! Well done with the 100 Caps and clean sheet to mark the occasion!

Well, if we're looking back through the premiership a certain Danish keeper comes to mind! In fact two thinking about it, Thomas Sorensen absolutely screams at his centre backs. Must be something in the water over there? But agree, Given's been stella so far and I'd rate him as our top buy after Barry.
