Went for Barry.

Tough game and hard to pick a MOTM today. Nobody outstanding performances today but could have gone for Petrov or Nige.

De Jong for me by a country mile. I'd be interested to see his stats because he seemed to intercept all over the park.

Very solid and becoming a very important player for us, which will add to the the Ireland Dilemma...

De Jong shaded it for me, because of his second half; Barry imprved in the last quarter, Petrov scored our goal, and SWP was buzzing.

Thats about it, really!
(don't start me on our 'defence'!)

Barry and de jong were again great - we would be nowhere near challenging without them

I thought Tevez and De Jong both worked their nuts off and played very well.

That's exactly what I was thinking - you beat me to it.

Nobody gives the ball to the opposition these days more than SWP. He is still a threat obviously and is fantastic when running at players but while his crossing has improved his quick/short passing is atrocious.

Tevez ran around a lot but what did he actually do today, otherwise?

Apart from setting up our goal you mean? Chasing down and running generally is a big part of his job isn't it?

Something was drawing me to pick Santa Cruz, but went for De Jong instead. Great player, tough on the tackle.

Some of his passing and vision was brilliant. He made a 70 hard pass weighted perfectly so it was over the defender but straight to Adebayor's feet which nearly got us a goal. He didn't give the ball away sloppily, he tracked back and didn't give up. More than can be said for some of our other players.

De Jong for me aswell. I thought Tevez played his socks off and Bazza was solid again but De Jong was more important and stood out more.

I can't really think of one stand out performance? Was going to go for Zab until he was sent off so thrown that out the window.

Shay made a couple of good saves, but at the same time, didn't seem convincing in his area. Bridge seemed great going forward but didn't get to the ball first for their goal. So, by process of elimination, I'm left with de Jong and Carlito and because Carlito run his nads off and set up the goal and going for him.................or is it de Jong?
