I dont even know Kyle, based off words on a screen with no emotions to see whatsoever how do I know if he's being serious or not? If you asked 40,000 people who they thought was MOTM today you can bet your life some of them would seriously say RSC. How do I know he's not one of those - ie clinically insane?

Anyway, my MOTM was Petrov closely followed by De Jong and Tevez.

I voted for De Jong. He put his body on the line with every tackle today and always has!! He is such a quality buy!! He is a wall in front of the defence and stops the other teams attacks well.

Dejong today for me today, did not stop running and was very effective. Tevez played very well second half but thought he wasnt good first. Seemed to be much more direct second half running at their defence....hopefully he'll continue doin that in future

You're all wrong. The MOTM was clearly David Beckham.

Petrov or De Jong - settled on Petrov because of the goal.

Went for De Jong. You could have thrown a blanket over most of them today, there was no real standout performance, just a load or par ones for an away game.

I'd like to give bridge some credit. last season away from home he was the weak link and generally poor. this season he's been solid if unspectacular which is a massive improvement.

De Jong (which is nice, considering he ususally gets all the stick), but I still feel Barry has been our best signing, he is so consistent, that a bad game for him is really a mediocre one, (while obviously he is rarely spectacular), but at the same time having a player who can so constantly be relied on to not only retain possession but nearly always do something positive with it. The kind of ever present who can be looked to when some of the more overtly talented attacking players are having an off day to remain sensible and get us a result.

Went for DeJ immediately without reading this thread.

He was everywhere in front of the back 4, really appreciated by defenders. Very very effective now and starting to justify his fee.

The tackle that Nigel put in just before Pablo lunged and got sent off was an incredible challenge

An absolutely perfectly timed but awesomely hard tackle

Nige stood out for me 2.Put in a good shift in a average City performance.Whats encouraging is were not getting beat when we dont play well.Last season we would have lost this one.
1 defeat in 8 games is friggin brilliant.Plus 2 wins in the cup.
Looking good.

De Jong was the man. I would have liked it to be Petrov but he just doesn't do enough smart things with the ball. As Piccs says, you can't cross a ball into an empty box and be upset that there's noone there to get it. If they aren't there, you have to hold it up and wait. This frustrates me about him.

But the bulldog was great. I'd love our defenders to pass it to him more.

Petrov for me deserved MOTM and a starting place in the next game. Bellamy should now have to wait his turn.

Meanwhile on the right SWP deserves a stint on the bench while someone else has a go. It's only fair.

Our best player wait his turn? Absolute madness. The only way Bellamy should be out is if we need to rest his knee.

As we may be without Adebayor as well as Robson there may still be room for Petrov though. Bellamy for SWP?
