Also with Bellamy and Toure missing yesterday I just thought we lacked pace going forward and communication at the back!

Hope all 3 are fit for the Fulham game next weekend, especially Bellamy! I also read somewhere that Robinho maybe fit for Fulham, surely thats gonna give Hughes a tough decision in the next week.

If Robinho is fit, I'd play him, because he tends to be very good at home and needs game time.. also, with a groin strain, resting Bellers wouldn't be such a bad thing if need be.

Hughes said Ade just took a knock on the side of the leg and should be fine.

You're right about the pace going forward BTW. Or that final ball that the strikers can latch onto. Might be a time to play Ireland in an advanced role.

Agree with Dub about Robinho if fit. Fulham will be very solid and we need someone like Robson to unlock them at home.

Robbie can play anywhere in the front line. If fit, I'd put him in ahead of SWP and Tevez but not ahead of Petrov.

WTF I thought Benji was back in full training and scoring nice goals according to Doug ??
Since Ade is not likely to be available, guess its time for Santa to start. Let's see what he can do if he plays a full match. Cannot judge him on the couple of cameos he's done so far.

Yeah, Santa has a fair bit to prove and with Ade out he is the natural replacement. If he doesn't get a chance under these circumstances, then hard to see how he ever will.I've had my doubts, he was definitely the signing I was least chuffed with, but am happy to be shown up if we give him a chance. Better that he has one and then we can see!

He cant play up on his own mate, not without a main striker. But I agree it would be nice to see him in the Tevez position, or on the right instead of SWP.

However there's no way in a million years Robbie will be left out in favour of Petrov when both are fully fit.

Agree he can't play alone up there but as a 2nd striker to Ade or Santa (even Bellers).
On current form and if all are fit, I'd play this front line in a 4-4-2 lineup

Ade
Robbie
Bellers Barry De Jong Tevez

I agree that MH will never play Petrov ahead of Robbie, no matter how good he's playing now. But we're lucky to have a player like him to come off the bench when we need him.

I'd like to see Robbie & Petrov tried in the same team at some point but not at the expense of Tevez. I want to see Tevez play as many games as possible. He's getting fitter & better & needs the games. Tevez on the right of an attacking 3 behind Ade with Robbie in a free role & Petrov on the left would be interesting for a home game or 2 against the lesser teams.

We have been having a tough time with injuries and niggles. I dont think we have seen 11 players fully fit this season.

What about a 4-4-2 with ade and RSC upfront with SWP and Petrov told to hammer the crosses in? Might be worth a try at some point, maybe later in the Fulham game.

Ireland needs to be on the pitch, he is very very important to how the whole team plays. His ball winning and quick turn of play is fucking awesome.

Two wide men + Ade & RSC would be a potentially scarey & entertaining attacking combination assuming SWP actually put some crosses in.

It makes me wonder if the no return date means they are never going to play him!! But he has been in full training now for a week or so and yes scoring some goals. It was noticeable though that when they had a bit of finishing practice at the end of a session he wasnt joining in.
