May I just mention how good the refs were today. They spotted something that no-one else seen when Micah scored, allowed play to go on when clearly off-side and generally allowed the play to be stop-started that much that it destroyed my first half enjoyment.

Well done those referees, I knew that you made mistakes, but to give up your integrity for the good of the league, that is loyalty!!!

To busy blaming other players for his obvious mistakes and when he did actually do something decent, he followed up with another pearling mistake. Don't get me wrong, I don't like to get at our players but he just seems to be letting himself and the rest of the team down.

Am I wrong?

No argument from me - I am sick of raising it

Actually - he is totally incompetent and I hate that thing he does when he makes a mistake - standing around blaming others rather than making effort to make amends

I got back a couple of hours ago.

What a load of shit!! we score 2 and are cruising for a while then it all fucks up!!

Our defence was dire today but i dont know why some of you are criticising him and singling him out. Everyone will make a mistake at some time, You just have to get on with it. Lescott is a good defender and he will come good for us.

Also Richards!! He can have minutes of brilliance and then can fuck it all up??!! I dont know what is wrong with him lately but everytime he touched the ball today i got worried!! He doesnt have the best of touches!!!

At home we should not be letting a 2 goal lead slip!! Thats what has pissed me of the most!!!

On to scunthorpe on wednesday, if i dont see a good performance from that....... Then i am putting in a appication for the new manager of city!!

Looking for the positives I was really quite impressed with Petrov.

I thought his crossing was very good - and I loved the way he kept swapping wings with Bellers and of course he took the goal well

I also felt that he made much more effort in getting back and helping out in defence and running off the ball

If he can get his head on earning his place - unlike Elano - then it would be good to have him stay

He brings something that we do not have from any other player - specialist crossing ability - great for creating space and set pieces

We just can not have passengers and he encouraged me greatly in this yesterday

I agree, he was one of only a few players who turned up yesterday. I don't think we are using him to his strength though - which is his pace. Last year he was put through with defence splitting passes for him to run on to - generally by robbie/elano & ireland. I haven't seen any of that so far this year. We are seeing too much of the long ball to Ade, by-passing the midfield.

Yeah, Petrov did play bloody well. His left foot is the business. As for the result, obviously beyond belief frustrating, but reassuring that Arsenal managed exactly the same thing. MOTD might have said as the home team our slip up was worse, but Arsenal on the road have always capitalised on those sort of leads, so I feel this will rock them more.

This crazy season continues though, as this football article on premier league results reminds us, just when you think a slip up is significant, all the main rivals make exactly the same mistakes! Predictions this year on a game-by-game basis are harder than ever. It's seeming a bigger pool of clubs than ever are capable of getting results, and the ones you'd expect to win are all defensively dodgy!
