ROBINHO has stuck two fingers up at Manchester City by reporting for duty with Brazil for tomorrow's clash with England.
Brazil boss Dunga is even considering playing the £31million star even though he has an ankle injury - picked up playing for his country - and has not appeared for City since August 27.

Samba spokesman Rodrigo Paiva declared: "We don't need permission from City to play him but we will keep talking to them.

"We need him with us. Whether he'll play this game or next week we are taking day-by-day. He'll be assessed again tomorrow. We know City want him with them but we have only three games before the World Cup so we need Robinho here. This is a chance for the coach to talk to the players, to create the ambience, to discuss preparations for next summer. Robi trained doing the same exercises as the others but on the side." City will be furious at Brazil's decision to go over their heads.

Boss Mark Hughes allowed Robinho to leave City's mid-season trip to Abu Dhabi and fly to nearby Qatar out of courtesy to the Brazilian FA. He was expecting the striker to be passed unfit by doctors before flying back to England.

Manchester City warned it will cost £36m to prise Argentina ace Angel Di Maria away from Benfica
Benfica have placed a £36million price tag on Angel Di Maria after hearing Manchester City have made him their top target to replace Robinho, should Barcelona succeed in prising the Brazil forward away from Eastlands.
Di Maria has emerged as an integral part of a free-scoring Benfica side who have set their sights on a Portuguese League and Europa League double this season.
Chelsea watched him for a third time in a matter of months, in Benfica's recent 5-0 rout of Everton in the Stadium of Light, but have been forced to concede they cannot match City's spending power.
With Barcelona continuing to monitor Robinho, and likely to launch a renewed attempt to sign him in the January window, City manager Mark Hughes has scoured the market for a left-sided attacker and concluded Di Maria is the best around.
But the 21-year old Argentina left-winger will not come cheap. He signed a contract extension last month until June 2015 containing a £36million escape clause, and Benfica will insist it is paid in full before letting him go.
City can at least be sure of his pedigree after seeing him torment Everton's defence at home and away in the Europa League in a way that has already brought lavish praise from Argentina coach Diego Maradona.
'Angel has the quality to be a worldwide superstar within the next two years,' he said. 'I have always followed his career closely, and his level has increased enormously during the time he has been playing in Europe.'

Almost as bad as the the 14mill price tag is the Sun story. Do they just want to keep on apologising for the 'stories' they write? The club have already stated that they had no problem with Robi going to see the Brazil camp

Seems he hasn't been injured all along, as Brazil have apparently got him "pencilled in" to play, which will force Hughesless to do something when we play Liverpool, especially with the current attacking trio being so deadly

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1182355_robinho_in_club_versus_country_storm

He doesn't look too injured to me in that pic of him, and if he plays against England, then he MUST start against Liverpool.

Even dickhead himself has stated before now that you don't get anywhere without your best players, seems our best has been being "rested" whilst some RAG in the wrong office embarasses the club even further.

That whole statement, is well, just pants!!! Do you not take in any other news unless it is a way to attack certain individuals? Do you not even comprehend that he is only now ready for a game? Do you................?

Could have meant MEN:

Robinho to miss England friendly
November 13, 2009

ROBINHO will not play in tomorrow's friendly against England in Doha as he continues his recovery following an ankle injury.

The Manchester City star had joined up with his country yesterday despite having not fully recovered from a stress fracture of his ankle suffered while on international duty earlier this season.

However, he has not given up hope of being available to face Oman in another international friendly on Tuesday.

That could spark a row between Brazil and City, who are due to meet Liverpool next Saturday in a lunchtime Premier League clash.

City were under the impression that Robinho was only leaving their training camp in Abu Dhabi to be examined by the Brazilian medical team but he has stayed with coach Dunga's side.

Asked whether he would be available to face England, Robinho said: “I'm not fit yet but maybe I will be for the next game.”

Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva is convinced Robinho will be staying at Eastlands despite speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The former Arsenal player said: “I think he is going to stay. There are a lot of rumours but that is often the case with big-name players. The player has tried to avoid controversy and maybe something he has said has not been very well interpreted.

“For the last few weeks he has been treating his injury and has been concerned because he wants to play for Manchester City and Brazil.

“My big advice to any player arriving in England is to learn the language, one of the most important things, and then learn the game.

“He has learned the game and his language is improving. I have helped him a bit with that and so has Kaka, who also speaks English.”

Well I could probably do a better job than the one we do have.........the current City physio passed Crocked Snapped Cruaciates his medical didn't he back in June?....and he was injured!!..............not to mention it took him 2 weeks to determine what injury Robinho had when he got injured earlier in the season......I wonder if the Sheikh knows he has employed Jacob Bolotin?

Then again Hughesless selected the Physio didn't he NikNak, so that will mean he is wonderful.
