Yes, I think the argument for 'EASTLANDS' has been won. Even Ian Cheeseman has used the name on BBC GMR in recent broadcast and he is a staunch 'City of Manchester Stadium' fan. See my recent site update due to Mark Hughes departure

Of course we all want it to remain COMS/Eastlands, [and forgive my ignorance if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread as I've only had a quick glance], but if it come to the point where Platini and his Co-Cunts decide upon the rule of 'spending within means' then I wouldn't have a problem if we were renamed 'Etihad Eastlands Stadium' or something along the like, and we met the criteria for Champions League eligibility.

I like this too. Gives the club a real 'Fans' Feel', and sounds like a stadium name in a way. Upton Park is the only other ground I can think of with an unofficial name that's stuck. Any others? I know Swansea fans were calling their ground 'White Rock', but this got dropped due to the effects of copper poisoning on the local populace.
