Polly Tevez for me. Absolutely changed the game for us by giving us an on the floor option up front. He held it up brilliantly, evaded opposition players and brought others into play.
He looked like a player with a point to prove.
Special mentions to the Bulldog and Superman and Ned.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Wayne Bridge for me. I thought he was really good yesterday both going forward and defending and bounced back well from Burnley disaster.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

DeJong was really effective first half and I think it's because of him it was even at the break. He was doing most of Barry's work as well!

De Jong was the only player to stand out in the first sixty or so minutes for me, but on the face the past month or so, I went for Lescott. He looked very assured a) away from home b) alongside an injured Toure/returning Nedum c) against his former rivals and a top four club.
Tevez also wins the Leslie award for dynanism - was good to see some life from us.

Polly for me too, Nige was magnificent but Tevez really changed the game around and even improved the output of SWP and Ireland when he came on.

Tevez for me, held the ball up really well not only allowing more midfielders to get involved but also giving the defence a breather. Before he came on the ball just kept coming straight back

From where I was sat I'd say Ireland. But then what was going on at the far end of the pitch was anyone's guess at times. God bless the ergonomics of COMS.
Lescott and SWP played well too. Zabaleta, Adebayor and Barry were outstandingly crap.

De Jong just ahead of Tevez.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

Tevez - good substitution, came on and changed the game, which I guess is what we bought him for.
