Compare us to an international team...

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Compare us to an international team...

Postby BlueinBosnia » Sat Nov 28, 2009 12:14 pm

Who do you think we're equivalent to in terms of squad/starting 11?

I reckon in a theoretical match, we'd beat England, for sure (or draw, of course), and reckon we'd get a result against Portugal, France, Germany and Argentina out of the teams above them.

So, where would we stand in FIFA World Rankings if we were a country, not a club?

Yeah, facing them without our internationals, I think will stuff them mate!!

We will be down the FIFA ranking, as other clubs will start asking for their independence too

Nah, it was in a hypothetical scenario, kind of like Fantasy Football. I wasn't predicting a republican uprising in Manchester any time soon!

If we did gain independance we could impose a twunt-tax on that other club that claims to be from Manchester...

we would draw with Andorra, Faroe Islands, Western Samoa and anybody else as we cant close out any game
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)
