January 2010

Postby Somerset Blue » Sun Dec 06, 2009 12:18 am

Well, January is going to be one very busy month. At least 7 games, possibly as many as 9:

Sat 2 Jan - Boro v City (FAC3)
Wed 6 Jan - City v Rags (CC Semi-Final 1st Leg)
Mon 11 Jan - City v Blackburn (Prem) [will move back to Sat if either team have an FAC3 replay]
Tue 12/Wed 13 Jan - FAC3 replay? (hopefully not)
Sat 16 Jan - Everton v City (Prem)
Tue 19 Jan - Rags v City (CC Semi-Final 2nd Leg)
Sat 23 Jan - FAC4 (hopefully)
Tue 26 Jan - Stoke v City (Prem)
Sun 31 Jan - City v Pompey (Prem)

Going to need all hands on deck for that little lot, and right when Ade and Toure are away.

PS - not sure if this has been posted, but the Boxing Day game at home to Stoke is live on Setanta Ireland if that is of use to any of you.

PPS - home game v Liverpool has gone back to Sun 21 Feb (KO TBN) due to their involvement in Europa League (tee hee).

Players like-

Yaya
Ribery
Van der vaart
Gattuso

The more the merrier. I seem to remember that we got better after Xmas last year and can't wait if we're the same this!

PS. the only hard game I envisage is against Everton, depending on if Jo plays ;-)

Should have mentioned that 5 out of those 7 games are being televised live. Not sure when they announce the live FA Cup games? Us at Boro must be in with a chance.

Bringing in somebody in Jan would be nice but for 1 month I thought Ned would cope but with that many matches i'm so sure any more.

When will we be squeezing in our game in hand? I thought it is against Everton but in the league table they have played fifteen games already. Who is it against?

Everton at home was meant to be played in late Aug/early Sept but it was to be rearranged due to their Eurpoa league qualification rounds

look at the OS fixture list and it only shows Everton once (away)
