The worst referee since Graham Poll!

Their off-side goal, the fact that Cohen comitted about 6 fouls before being booked, booking Bellamy for a dive when the Bolton player obviously made no contact with the ball, sending Bellamy off.

He should be demoted, again!

In fairness on the Bellamy incident, when I saw it my first thought was a dive, as he had evaded the tackle perfectly well, and only fell over comedy style on his next step when he realised he had over-hit the ball.

Bellamy should have gone down on contact, as he didnt I can sort of understand why the ref thought Bellamy was having him over.

Prone to some of the biggest howlers you'll see and this is known by the ref's association.

Why is he still being appointed to Premiership fixtures?

KK you beat me to starting this thread, I did not see the game as stream went down listened on Talk shite and by reading all the comments on here it is obvious he has put in a piss poor performance . Surely if they keep getting decisions wrong something must be done about it .

Clattenburg is a useless twat. How can he call himself a professional referee? Totally incompetent. The Bellemy sending off showed was an absolutely appalling decision. I hope we appeal it.

If a player can stay on his feet (especially when breaking into the opposition penalty area), I think he should do so.

Clattenburg did what I believe is the job he was intended to do.

Agreed. I think we'd be in with a good chance of having the booking rescinded if somebody with an ounce of sense looks at the incident.

I think you could be right actually, bugger!

They should take into account that it was Clattenburg and allow us to appeal though.

They shoudl take into account that it is CITY and rescind it without the lengthy, tedious process of an appeal.

We can look at his performance and see if we can appeal the 1st yellow on a procedural issue. If every single broadcaster covering it missed it, then maybe he hadn't shown the card properly. Certainly, I've never seen a ref show 2 cards in one hand to give a booking. Very unorthodox.

1) Klasnic's first was clearly offside.
2) Cohen's committed two cynical fouls (plus many others) and only received the one yellow.
3) Bellamy's first yellow was a great mystery.
4) The defender made no contact with the ball whatsoever - and only with the player - as Bellamy was sent.

One out of four might be understandable. Two out of four even. Four out of four though and all sense of diplomacy should be thrown out the window - he was fucking awful and shouldn't be given another Premiership fixture for a very long time now.

You can't appeal yellow cards, just like TV replays can't be used to change decisions on instances seen by the ref in a game like the City v Arsenal game oh hang on.......
