I really like your optimism but it falls down when you look back and realise we have been here before. Burnley came to Eastlands having scored just 1 away goal and scored 3 and left with a well deserved point. The run of games we had after we played Liverpool up to the visit of Chelsea were a great opportunity to cement a top four spot. We failed.

3-1 home victory.

Sunderland's defence is at 6's and 7's at the moment (probably because its half staffed with West Ham rejects).

Another West Ham 'reject' - Bellamy - will score at least once.

Steve Bruce's teams have done well against us in the past, and despite their recent poor run of form, have already beaten both LIverpool and Arsenal and deserved to beat Manchester United in their draw. City's team will be looking to make amends for their loss to Tottenham and Mark Hughes will want an impressive win to quiet the speculation over his future.

The surge starts here. A convincing 3 nil slaughtering of the Mackems.A first for Robbie this season plus a first prem goal for RSC and one from Tevez to finish it off.

City will win 3-1 or 4-1. I only saw the first 20 minutes of the Spurs game (work) but while it was clear Lennon had a lot of space going at Sylvinho I also thought City (Ireland, Robinho, Tevez) were playing some nice stuff building up to Spurs' penalty area and were unlucky not to play somebody in. So when I came back to the stream on 90 minutes I was surprised to see it was 3-0. I think the post-match row in the dressing room will prove as healthy as it did after the Hull game, I think (as someone said in another thread) that Robinho was pissed at how badly the team had played rather than sulking at being subbed, so I expect him and the team to do well on Saturday. Maybe this will be the game Hughes seems to be waiting for to put Weiss on, three goals up with 20 minutes to go and he'll run at them and score one and make one. Mind you, Petrov deserves a game after his performance on Wednesday, though it could also have made the watching 'arry that much keener to sign him in January.

I have a bad feeling Sunderland are gonna win this one or at least get a point. Sorry for being pessimistic.

If things go our way early in the match, this can be a match to remember, on the other hand if Sunderland score the first goal, it can also be a match to remember, but for other reasons. And now that Christmas is approaching, we wish for ourselves an early Christmas present. 3-1 City till I die!

I fear the worst!
Wdnesday was such a downer, by this bunch of overpaid clowns,...and I'm not just referring to the 'players' that I have no confidence in them beating a side that puts up even token resistance

Only a win will be enough today, and I'm hoping to see 11 players play out of their skin for 90 or so minutes.

Mighty Blues 3 v 1 Blackcats

Ade x 2
Robbie 1 - also with an assist
