The Referee

Unbelievably crap today. He got more decisions wrong than he got right.

I'm not saying he is biased, just incredibly shite!

Absolute joker. You could see how frustrated all the players were with him.

Total bobbins, just this time we didn't do too badly out of it.

Typical city, maybe our lucjk has changed and we sack teh manager!

Are you trying to change the 'topic' on here KK? Though I do agree it was an all round piss poor performance from the ref (actually bitchin about the ref did take my mind off the impending storm) thanks KK

All we ask from referees is that they are consistent, and boy was he consistent today.

So is a man without a prostate, and that is as close to a description of the referring we have seen recently as I can get.

I think its time we started with the 5th official behind the goal line idea now more than ever. Players have obviously worked the system now and know how to get away with anything they please. I mean sure they ain't perfect but neither are your multi million pound actors even they make mistakes.

Ah just found this thread.....

He was fucking GASH

I thought Carlitos was going to get sent off at one point for going spastic at him at one point

Nyron Noseworthy should have been sent off for several challenges IMO.....I think it was him who cleared Roque out when Shaun sent the ball across the box for Bellamy's goal..but there were several instances of shocking decisions

I also cannot believe that Sunderland have got the front to say that they intend to appeal Turner's red card?!! On what bloody basis?!!! He almost took Gazza Bazza's heid clean off

If that 'sending off' and 'penalty' yesterday had happened to us I'd have been fucking livid. Poor ref all round to both sides imo

I think the penalty was a good call, it was a foul and usually is one of those 'outside the box it's a foul, inside it isn't' calls. About time they were called on what they are.

The sending off was not inentional, yellow card for sure but never a red in a million years.

Poor baz though, he got a right seeing too twice in 5 minutes.

If I remember correctly he reffed the FAYC final and was shit even at that level.

At the game I thought he was doing the usual SKY big 4 job on us like they all do but watching the game later he was in fact equally shite for both teams.

Kev, seriously, is there a good ref anywhere in this league? They ruin many matches and get so, so, so much utterly wrong it beggars belief. Very happy with his excellent penalty decision yesterday though. ;-)

the worst? don't know where to start. bennett, clattenburg, webb? all bollocks.
