two and a half years left on seven million pounds a year contract makes about 17 million pounds. I'm sure he will be alright.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

When he was appointed, it was a 3 year contract at £3M/year.

Not sure where £7M has come from, no doubt our primadonna's will be asking for a payraise.

I'm pretty sure it was said at the time that he got four year contract worth about seven millions a year making him second best paid manager in the league at the time.

Any which way with eight million pounds on back pocket, I'm sure he doesn't have to buy those nice suits from Oxfam in the future.

Who was it again, that said last night that they'll have some bubbly when I get boot. Well if they pay me seven million, you can make that Cristal and send the bill to me.

I think he really could end up at Liverpool quite soon, probably be good for them too as he'd stabilise them and get them going the right direction without any cash.

That would be great if he did.

I couldn't think of a worse club to go to if he did. He'd do a blinding job there with no money and make our board look like right idiots

Always wondered how I can get a job where I get a big wedge if I am fired for not being very good?

Why is everyone harping on about his pay off?

Yes it will help soften the blow money always does, but his pride will have taken a beating and for a honest proud man that must hurt more than anything.

If i got fucked off by a company despite a fat pay off,if i thought i hadnt done anything wrong it would hurt.

I wouldn't be suprised to see him go to West Ham if Zola keeps going wobbley, in which case Bellers might be heading back that way too

He will be at Anfield by June. If City can stomach his rag past so can the Scousers. Then the first phone call he'll make will be to Bellamy.

Liverpool or West Ham would not suprise me in the least bit. I think one of Hughes biggest problems here was the pressure to play attractive, attacking football after all the money that was spent. If he can go to a club where he can coach a team to play like his Blackburn Rovers or Welsh national team did, he will succeed again. Maybe he can pull a Steve McClaren and further his reputation by taking over a European side?

He's proved that he can manage a team with limited resources.

So Utd or Liverpool then.
