Brian Kidd

How do we feel about this appointment from within. It's been touched on in other threads but I feel it deserves it's own.

I thought his strength was bringing up the kids? This also means another appointment for the youth team needs to be made.

If Mancini's English is not tip top he may have a very important role to play.

i'm pretty sure its a role he'll thrive in. i was a bit surprised to see it though, thought roberto would have had his own ideas for assistant, but maybe it is for the language thing like you say.

Fantastic appointment

Proven to be of the absolute highest quality as a number 2. I'm hoping that Bobby Manc and Kiddo can be like Mourinho/Clarke for us.

Question I have though is....who shall now be heading up the Academy? Will Cassell be allowed to come back from the sandy naughty corner now that the BigBadWolf has gone?

I'm happy with Kidd as the new assistant. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Paul Hart involved at the vacancy at youth level.

He will be brilliant!!! just enjoy this weekend first..no Leslie smacking his hands together out of frustration,no Bowen whinging and whining to the 4th official with his touppe blowing in the breeze,no hitchcock dancin in the tech area when we score then checkin if Leslie is watchin his fake passion then put his fist up to directors box....FAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKEEEEESSS!!!!!!!!!!
We'll miss Niedzwecki the most i feel,he looks about the most genuine
and hopefully we may find out what that big nosed geezer did who appears to do cocck all other than brown nose..setori i think his name is?
WELL DONE CITY...THANKS FOR MAKIN CHRISTMAS EVEN MORE SPECIAL

Hart was appointed QPR boss on Friday mate so we might have to wait until the Spring for that one...

Dirty Red/Blue twat. I hope he isn't going to become the new Agent Kid if things go round? At least we've got a new honourary Manc in Manc-ini ;-)

I thought I'd just reiterate!!!

Looking at the replies, it does seem to be that the Un+ited bit seems to ranckle in one way but not another. Me personally, you are here one day, gone the next, but now, we just don't seem to care either way.........................unless they are a proper rag!!!

I've been hoping to get Kiddo into our academy ever since he left the scum. I think he's an absolutely brilliant No2 but now the owners have shown their true colours, I worry he'll be out on his arse along with Mancini if we don't get top 4 by the end of the season. That would be a real shitter imo & make the decision even more typical Swales than it is already.

Shown their true colours? What after 18 months of having a look at the incumbent they have finally decided they want their own appointment? Get a fucking grip.

I'm ok with it really- Great player for city in the 70's, so he's been promoted from youth team, to assistant not bad.

What has he been doing since we got him by the way?! Seemed an odd move. Surely hes mates with hughes? Why the fuck wasnt he helping MH out with first team training if hes so good tactically.

An excellent appointment. When he was with the scum, he was an excellent 2nd in charge. I loved him as a City player too, never saw him have a bad game or give less than 100%. Good move by City this.

As the day wears on, I am a little edgy about Mancini. I need some reassurance. I don't know what to think...I wanted Hughes gone, I didn't rate much of what he was doing or his staff and coaches in particular. Just not sure what to make of this, sort of into the unkown really.

Brian Kidd as number 2 is a great choice. Looks like the club have been very clever in the way they have replaced Hughes, if not very classy. Mancini seems to have known for some time he was up for the job, so has no doubt been studying our games and his assistant has been working as an inside agent. No doubt all the January signings are already planned and will be a far better list than what we were expecting Hughes to go for....
